Brendon prepares the drink for a customer that day, adding the finishing touches of the whip cream and chocolate chips in a choco java frappe.

He hums a tone under his breath, as he puts on the drink's lid and offers it to the customer with a dazzling smile.

"We hope to see you again!" He greets cheerily.

The customer returns his greeting with a smile and takes their leave.

"Someone's in a good mood." A baritone voice notes behind him as he begins to clean a few tables after the last customer left. "I assume things went well last night?"

Brendon shrugs casually, biting his lips from grinning even though he's failing miserably. He's been scrubbing the table too vigorously to concentrate in doing his job properly. That also fails, unfortunately.

But how exactly does one concentrate? All he could think about is Dallon and his shy admission of I like you too.

"Sounds too good to be true, to be honest." Brendon admits as he turns to face the expectant English man looking at him somewhat proudly. "He could have chosen anyone better, you know?

"Well, you should believe it." Dan adds with a soft smile, his bluish greens crinkling with warmth behind his black rimmed glasses. "Yeah, he could have chosen anyone, but out of the billion people existing in the world, he chose you."

"Romantic. I thought you don't know love?" Brendon teases cheekily, though he admits that Dan's words did make his chest flutter at the thought of Dallon liking him out of all the people.

Dan scrunches his nose in what seems like mocking disgust that made him laugh. Slightly hitting on his boss' asexuality has been a running gag for the both of them. It's all for a good natured banter.

"I heard you spent time with Matty during the holidays." Brendon grins cheekily, as he remembers Mrs. Truman mentioning that little detail quite fondly just last week after their return from Utah.

Dan smiles at that, scratching the back of his head. "Well, yeah. It was fun." The smile on his lips morphs into a thoughtful frown as he continues. "Did you know he's going back to England next week?"

"Yeah, Dallon told me the other day." Brendon adds, feeling a bit sad that the older man is leaving them. He then looks at Dan expectantly, wondering if...

"Did Matty tell you something?"

The other man tilts his head in confusion at the question. "Tell me what? Is there something I should know?"

Brendon can only smile at him sadly. So Matty didn't tell him, and he's being unfair.

He has no right to intervene. He really has no right, but until how long is the other man going to rely on missed chances every time he's here?

"I think you should ask him, Dan." Brendon suggested, giving him a stern gaze. "Before he leaves, you should ask him, okay?"

Brendon smiles as he pats him on the shoulder, leaving the questioning man to his own devices and focuses on cleaning the other tables.

"Maybe I should kick Matty's ass to have some sense in him." He grumbles under his breath. Brendon shook his head, deciding not to let the curly haired man's stubbornness get to him. It's really unfair of Matty to push him in asking Dallon out when he can't even do it himself.

A ding of the doors chime open. Brendon greets the new customer, which reveals to be Spencer, raising his hand for a wave.

"Heard the good news, man." His best friend says as he wraps an arm around his shoulders, letting out that knowing grin that made him flush. The news spread like wildfire and he's pretty sure it's Sarah's fault. "Sarah's been designing wedding invitations as of the moment you told her."
