♡ Steph's Point of View ♡

When we got here, I timidly searched for his sister. When I saw her my heart pounded like I'm going to have a stroke!

"Sis!" My mom yelled to her mom. My aunt did the same. While my dad just rested his hand on my uncle's shoulder, my uncle did the same. Here in Philippines, we show respect by getting the hand of the older person and lightly placed their hand on our forehead. In Tagalog we call it "Mano". After the pleasantries, Nadine rested her arm on my shoulder.

"Sup, how have you been?" She asked while still placing her hand on my shoulder. "I'm good." I smiled. She never changed although she's already nineteen years old, she's still the same person when I first met her. "Hey, can I have a real talk with you for a moment?" She said. If this is about her brother then count me out. I nodded in response.

She grabbed my hand, and dragged me all the way to the comfort room. "I know its been three years but hear me out." She said and looked at me seriously. From the look she's giving me I can already tell that this is about me and her brother. "Did you confessed to my brother?" She asked. The first I heard that, my heart was pounding not sure if she can hear it. "Y-Yeah..." Told her the truth since there was no point lying to her.

"I may... Have heard the whole conversation."

I paused at her statement.

"Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."

"Its alright. I told you the truth too."

She gave me a relived look. I'm not mad if she heard it. So what if she did? Besides I told her the truth.

"Alright, let's get back." She smiled. I returned her the smile and went back to the party. Our families was already sitting at the huge fancy dining table. Looks like the food will take long.

"Ah, Steph. How've you been?" My aunt asked. "I'm good tita." I smiled. While talking to my uncle and aunt, I try not to make an eye contact with Josh. Almost everytime I sensed that he's looking at mg direction.

"So, does Steph has a boyfriend?" My uncle asked. Where is this topic coming from? "No, she doesn't have." My dad laughed. "I do believe she has a crush on someone." My mom added. I saw Nadine holding back her laugh and I can see Josh, poker face. Am I being humiliated from all of this?

"I would really love if Josh and Steph be together someday." My mom said in a serious tone. I bowed my head hoping to hide my tomato face from everyone.
