I can't believe I just ran away from my transport. But I really had no choice because I did not want that dream I had to become the future. First off, I had to find a home and that was going to be hard. I came out the alleyway and roamed the streets for about a good hour and then I sat on the ground and leaned against a store's display window. After what seemed like hours, a couple glanced at me and asked if I had a home. They looked upperclassmen-like. I smiled at them, but I could barely hold it due to being so hungry. "I do not have a home, sir and ma'am. " , I say with a raspy voice, trying not to trigger some hunger pains. The woman speaks up, "Come to our house. We will feed you and take care of you and treat you like our own child." I already felt excited and the man smiled at me and put his hand on my shoulder. Maybe running away was a good idea. After the car ride --- you won't believe this, they have their own limo! ---  I was in this big penthouse. It was so cool, and I got my own room. Sure it was a little empty, but it had a bed and a flat screen TV hooked on the wall. What kind of luck did I run into? I was fed and during our chat to get to know each other, I pondered if I should tell them about my "special" sides. I decided to keep it secret and smile at them. "My name is Preston McCall." , I said softly, and the woman took my hand with sincerity. "My name is Rubene,  and this is my husband, Oliver." , she said to me with a smile. That's when Oliver spoke up, "I know this might be a little uncomfortable, son. But if you ever want to, feel free to call us Mom and Dad." I could feel the tears coming to my eyes. How long I wanted to have a family like this... It was about time for bed and we all said goodnight and hit the hay. What a good day! But during some parts of the conversation, they mentioned "Beacon Hills High School" or something.  I was in 10th grade, due to being skipped twice. As I laid down in the soft bed, I could hear the light padding of footsteps going into the lush carpet. "How nice.." , I said to myself, as I didn't even turn on the tv. I just turned over and fell asleep instantly.
