School went by like a breeze after lunch. I already knew that I was doing well in all my classes, but I couldn't help but review the events of Scott and I's fight. It was sad to me really but hey, everything happens for a reason. After I exited the school, I was going to walk home. I already told Mom and Dad that I could walk home everyday and it was no trouble. The only problem was that I had to take a tirp through the woods and the woods creeped me out a bit. I took in a deep breath before moving into the woods. I hear the crunching of dead leaves as I stepped on them with my feet. That's when out of nowhere, I detected four heartbeats, excluding my own. "Not them again.." , I said to myself as I turned around. Sure enough, Lydia, Scott, Stiles, and Allison were standing there. Scott looked angry but Issac had a hand on him to keep his secured. "You need to leave. Now. And I mean out of Beacon Hills." , Isaac said to me in a cold tone. "And you're not my brother you imposter. Now as Isaac said, you need to leave, or I will make you." , Scott said, making sure that I heard the growl he let out. For some reason, that dove deep inside of me and hurt me. It was as if my feelings were shattered and every time my heart beat -- it hurt. I could feel that I was on the brink of crying and I'm sure Allison and Lydia noticed it. Their bodies became blurry and a few tears escaped from my eyelids. I turned around and ran off but I heard Lydia say, "Come on Scott and Isaac. I think we need to have a talk." I also heard running steps of someone following after me. After a few minutes of running, I wiped my eyes while I was in an unknown part of the woods. The running steps stopped and Allison walked in front of me, having a sympathetic look. "I am so sorry about that." , she said softly, hugging me close. I felt like she truly understood. "Listen, we all need to have a talk. Maybe then we will sort this all out." , she muttered to me and guided me back in the direction of the school. Little did I know, we were meeting at Allison's house and I soon found myself in her room. I sat on her bed with her while Scott stood up and Isaac was sitting down on a chair with Lydia. "I do not know if-" , I knew Allison stopped because she didn't know my name. I whispered to her my name softly and then she continued, "- Preston is Scott's brother. But I do have a strong feeling towards it. And the way you've been treating him Scott is unfair to me." Scott immediately scoffed and said, "He will never be my brother. He doesn't even look like......me...." I saw the hesitation written all over his face. He couldn't complete that sentence without hesitation, that would be a downright lie. I looked almost like a younger version of Scott. I stared at him, the sadness turning into anger. All I wanted to do right now was go home. "This is Beacon Hills. Weird things happen everyday, so I wouldn't be so surprised if this was Scott's actual brother." , Lydia said with a kind of witty and sassy tone. Everyone looked to stare at her before looking to stare at me. "I just think we should say it's his brother and get it over with." , Isaac mumbled out loud, looking rather annoyed. I stared back at Scott as he stared at me. I asked him quickly, "Scott, can I...talk to you? Privately?" For a second, Scott glared at me and looked as if he wouldn't respond. But then, he nodded his head and exited the room. I hugged Allison softly before saying, "Thank you for understanding." , and then I walked out. Scott and I were in the living room and he slowly said, "I..apologize. But I just want to test you. If you're really my brother, you will have the same marks on your hand as I. Or maybe similar marks. All of my family has it." I lifted my palm up so that it was facing him and Scott looked as if someone had shot a bullet through him. He slowly lifted his hand up so I could see his palm. I looked at my palm and then looked out his. A perfect match. Our palms slowly moved closer to each other until they touched. His hand was slightly bigger than mine but suddenly I understood. This was meant to happen. After looking at my hand and his hand placed together, I grasped him and hugged him hard. To my amazement, he hugged me back. While we were close, he whispered in my ear, "Brother...." I finally had a brother. A real one.
