My phone's alarm blared out as I loudly groaned. Why does Bella force me to go to school? I questioned myself. I tapped my phone to stop the alarm – careful not to break it – and dragged myself into the shower. After I had showered, I wrapped a fluffy towel around myself and chose what to wear. I couldn't be bothered to make an effort today, so I decided on a black bralette with a dark grey lace up jumper. For bottoms, I just put on a pair of light grey Nike leggings and slipped on my black Converse. I put on a black choker and some pompom earrings. I wasn't bothered much about makeup, so I put on some mascara and nude pink lipstick. I slowly walked down to the kitchen, not bothering to vamp-speed down. I poured out some cereal and milk to eat for breakfast before going to school. While I was eating, I checked my phone – which now had a phone case with 'Boo, you Horcrux' on as I was feeling Harry Potter today. I finished eating and put the empty bowl and spoon in the dishwasher before walking out. I got into Leslie (my car) and drove to school, tapping my fingers against the steering wheel in time with the music on the radio.
Bella was looking a bit better than yesterday, except that she had big under eye bags that looked that she didn't sleep that well last night. Everything seemed normal, apart from the fact that the Cullen's kept giving me interesting looks. It was now time for History and Bella was going to Biology with a determined look set on her face, mumbling something about Edward. "Enjoy Bio Bella. See you later." I said to her, before turning on my heel and walking to History.
"Good afternoon class." The stuck-up teacher said as I took a seat next to Jasper, who was completely ignoring me and looking straight forward at the teacher. What is with this boy? I thought to myself. "Now today we will be looking at The Tudors. Turn to page 348 in your textbooks....." The teacher droned on and I zoned out, already knowing what happened as I was there. Henry VIII really was a douche. I started to tap my fingers on the table, so lightly that no human would hear it, and pretended to be interested in what the teacher was saying. After 5 minutes, Jasper looked annoyed and turned his head to the side to look at me. His eyes had seemed to change colour since the last time I saw him, from a coal black to a dreamy gold. "Can you please stop tapping, it's really distracting me." He drawled with his gorgeous accent. Strange.... No human could hear that. "If it makes you happy." I replied sarcastically, giving him a dazzling smile and shrugging my shoulders. He turned his attention back to the teacher and I stopped tapping my fingers for some random reason. I thought back to when my brother told me the myth about 'The Cold Ones' – how they had terribly cold, pale skin, eyes that changed colour and apparently, they glittered in the sunlight!!! Jasper has some of those qualities.. But that was only a myth, right? I questioned myself. I came up with a quick idea to find out whether Jasper was human or not. I used my enhanced hearing to focus on hearing his heartbeat, but instead I heard nothing. I concentrated harder, slightly frowning when I still heard no heartbeat.
"BRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGGG!!!!!" The final bell rang out, hurting my hearing, signalling the History lesson had ended and it was the end of the school day. Jasper jumped out of his seat and rushed out of the door before I casually got up and walked to see Bella.
When I greeted Bella, she looked disappointed and slightly annoyed. "Wanna come back to my place?" I asked her. "I can't, sorry. I have to go food shopping for Charlie." Bella replied with a bit of a sigh. "Boo, you horcrux." I said back, referring to my Harry Potter phone case – Bella looked at me weirdly. "I will not get used to your Harry Potter obsession." She said, shaking her head but smiling. "Hey! Don't judge me. If witches, vampires, werewolves and hybrids are real, so could Hogwarts!" I whisper-shouted to her. "I guess I'll come with you as I have nothing better to do." I continued more loudly, noticing how Bella's face brightened. "Ok, let's go." Bella looped her arm with mine and lightly pulled me to our cars.
I turned around so I was facing Bella and saw the Cullen's crowded around their brand new cars, looking at me quizzically. There was only one missing. Edward. Maybe that was why Bella looked disappointed – he was totally her type. That reminded me to text Elijah, to ask if 'The Cold Ones' were real. I got my phone out to text him.

C – Hey 'lijah. Just wanted 2 ask a question. R the Cold Ones real? Plz text back soon. Always and Forever, Clio xx
I found the keys to Leslie and took one last glance at the Cullen's, before I said to Bella, "I'll follow you." She just nodded and I gave her a small wave before getting in my car. I started Leslie as Bella pulled out of her parking space. Just as I was about to pull out of my parking space, my phone tinged, notifying me I had a message. I quickly looked at it.
E – Dearest Clio. The Cold Ones are real. I hope this helps you. Always and Forever, Elijah xx
I felt shocked. This meant Jasper Hale could be a 'Cold One'. Well, damn.
