Eren and Armin are both in a support group for people who have lost somebody close to them.
Armin lost his parents a few years ago and Eren lost his mom only a month before.

Heyo! shick here! I've been in the fanfiction scene for almost two years now, but this is my first full length fic for something other than Hetalia! That means I'm probably bringing in readers who wouldn't normally tune into my stuff (aka people who don't know what to expect from little old me) So, anyway, how about some background information?! My username is shickzander, but you can just call me Shick or Mama Shick or daddy. Whichever you prefer. I was born and raised in Canada and the closest thing I've ever had to leaving the country was an incredible trip to Quebec a few years back. This story will take place in Canada because Canada is freaking fantastic. Also, this is somewhat of a songfic so all the chapter titles are the names of songs. There's no theme. I just like sharing my music with the world. I would love if you guys took a listen some time! Anyway, I bet you want some eremin, don't you? Get ready boys and girls!

"My name is Eren Jaeger and my mother died one month ago." That was all the brunet teen said when his turn to introduce himself came. He didn't want to be here. All these people were sad and mopey and Eren just wanted to live his life. "Anything else you'd like to say?" The councillor, Marco, asked. He was a happy guy. He was annoyingly cheerful and covered in freckles. Some of the other people in the group referred to him as "freckled Jesus" which made Eren laugh. "No." Eren said in the simplest way possible. He didn't want the attention on him for this long. The lady sitting next to him went next. She had long brown hair and wore thickly framed glasses. "My name is Hanji and I lost my beloved pets, Sonny and Bean last week." Seriously? She was here over some damn animals? "They were both very sweet and gentle, but one day they got out of their cage and animal control got to them before I could." "Uhm....excuse me..." A delicate looking girl raised her tiny hand. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but what kinds of pets were Sonny and Bean?" "They were chimpanzees." Hanji declared proudly. "I'm a scientist, you see, and I was studying their behaviour." She pulled a photo of two small apes out of her lab coat, showing the rest of the group. "They're both very cute!" The blonde girl complemented. "Oh indeed! It's too bad their lives were cut short." "Can we move on, please?" The boy who introduced himself first groaned. His name was Ravioli or some shit but he just let everybody call him Levi. "Yes." Marco nodded. He looked in the direction of the next group member, a small boy with blond hair cut off at his chin. His eyes were bright blue like the ocean. "My name is Armin Arlert and I lost my parents a few years ago."
