/Yamaguchi's p.o.v./
My mother had gotten home soon after we and Flora carried in the groceries, and started helping prepare dinner. According to schedule my stepdad would arrive home soon. He had to work late the night before so tonight was the very first time he was meeting Tsuki.
Me and said fiancé were waiting patiently at the dinning table when we heard him arrive and both my mother and Flora went to greet him.
"Ah!" He greeted with a smile on his face. As he came into the dinning room Tsuki stood up with a slight polite smile. "So this is the young man who's set to marry my boy."
Tsuki shook his hand formally. "It's a pleasure to meet you sir."
"Well he seems very well mannered. That's a good start." My stepdad kept his smile, but tightened his grip around the blond's hand his voice wavering ever so slightly. "Lets see if it lasts." He then released his hand and sat down in his normal seat.
Tsuki blinked a few times and looked down at his slightly pink hand in surprise as he sat back down next to me.
I stifled a laugh looking down at the wood of the table. My mother is a lot easier to please then he is. Maybe I should have wished Tsuki good luck, or warned him, but hey I guess this is what you can consider a little payback.
Tsuki shot me a small hidden glare and it was my turn to smirk back at him.
By that time dinner was served and my mother joined us. We all chatted over the meal, my step father constantly asking Tsuki questions such as:
"What do you plan to do in life?"
"Which college will you attend?"
"What are your hobbies, responsibilities, motivations, values?"
"How do you plan to treat Tadashi?"
"How much does family mean to you?"The whole thing sounded like an intense job interview, but Tsuki answered all of them, whether truthfully or not. We were all finished when my mother spoke up.
"Now boys, me and Kie's mother spoke and we thought it would be a good idea to throw a little... engagement party of sorts, so our families and friends can meet and know who we are marrying you off to." She explained seeming way too giddy and happy about the whole thing. "So we've decided that next weekend it will be held at the ballroom in town, sound good?"
I blinked back at my mother completely shell shocked before answering. "N-next weekend? Ballroom? M-mom just how extravagant is this party going to be?"
"The most extravagant!" She replied happily.
"Mom, I don't have anything to wear, and I can't dance to save my life." I sighed feeling stress slowly build.
"We can buy you something nice, but the dancing may be a problem... all you really need to know is the basic waltz." She pondered.
"Mrs. Yamaguchi," Tsuki spoke up formally. "I would love to teach him to dance. After all I've been attending parties like this since I was able to walk." He looked over at me a revengeful smirk forming on his face.
Wh-what?! N-no he's just gonna pull another stunt like he did earlier. Come on mother please save me from this...
"That's a wonderful idea!" She chirped.
I felt myself sink in my chair. Why does the world hate me?
"I can do it here after school, or after volleyball practice if either of us make the team." Tsuki suggested.
