"Fate will play us out, with a song of pure romance. Stomp your feet and clap your hands, let's kill tonight." Sorry I'm (still) in the car and currently listening to Let's Kill Tonight. Also: FEARLESSFARTS IS HERE. But mainly, my bloody left leg keeps going numb. Help me. (I've been thinking to much, help me.)
Anywho let's get on with the (news) chapter! This may take awhile because when I read or write I keep feeling car sick, but you won't know the difference.
(Already had to take one break)

It's a lot harder to be an exchange student than I originally had anticipated. It was about one month into the school year and I was still struggling, although I hadn't had too much trouble making friends, mainly because of my 'exchange family siblings' Sean and Bianca. They (Bianca especially) introduced me to their friends, helping me fit in at school.

I was a junior and I was staying in America until I graduated. When the opportunity to go study in the US came to me, I took it without thinking. I mean, it's cool to spend time in another culture, but challenging.

Really the only class I thrived in was AP Euro (European History) since I grew up in Ireland and already know a great deal of the information. I'm not horrible in other classes (C average at the least) but it's not great.

My family hasn't contacted me a lot, which sucks I guess but you have to learn to get over it and live in the moment.

During lunch, I often find myself in the library. Not always for the reading, but for the quiet serenity. No one else really came in there during lunch, until today. There's was a boy who looked around my age, he was thin and had shaggy blonde hair. Immediately, I recognized him as 'Newt' the new British kid from my Euro class.

"Hey, Newt right?" I say simply as I approached him. Newt looks looks up, giving me a surprised look.

"Uh- yea, you're in my home room... Right?" He asks, stumbling on his words but it seems a bit natural for him to do that- as far as I can tell. Or just nerves of being new- I definitely had them.

"Yes, I'm Isaac, I was an exchange student from Ireland." I explain, sticking my hand out for him to shake.

"Oh cool, I moved here from England not to long ago." He says, shake by my hand and I nod in response.

Now, I said I was going to stay in her for lunch. But his presence would stalk my mind from its peaceful serenity, so at this point, why not just give up on that and go back to the lunchroom?

"Hey Newt, want to go and sit in the lunchroom?"

He looks down at his book, seeming uncertain and unwilling, but he thinks better than to turn down the offer of a friendship and simply nods. "Sure."

After he stands up, we both walk to the loud cafeteria but aren't lucky enough to find a empty seat. Instead, Bee (my exchange family sister) sees us and waves us over to her table where she is sitting with her friends Maddie, Tyler, Patrick, and Ant.

You could say I was acquaintances with her friends, except for Ant. He and I had a awkward tension going on. Not necessarily bad blood, but earlier this school year he kissed me. It wasn't a bad kiss, in fact I think I have feelings for him. But things weren't handled correctly and one thing led to another so now it's just extremely awkward between us.

I motioned Newt to follow me and we sit down with the group of five.

"Hey Ize! Who's this?" Bee says once we got situated.

"Hey, this is Newt. He's new and moved from England." I say, motioning to the Brit as I speak.

"Nice to meet you." Tyler responds shyly before continuing his conversation with Patrick in whispers.

The two are best friends along with another boy Brendon, actually- "Hey Bee, where's Brendon?" I ask.

"Oh, I'm not sure. He hasn't texted me since yesterday, probably just sick!" She assured me but has a worried look on her face that tells me otherwise.

"Hey Ize, can I talk to you after school?" Ant asks after a minute or two of thick silence.

I look up at him in surprise,"Oh, um sure." I respond nervously.

Bee notices this tension-filled exchange and smirks at me, raising her eyebrows.
