Falling in Love with the Millionaire Chapter 3

Recap:

We arrived in front of my house and he walked me towards the doorstep. Just as I was supposed to bid him goodnight, he engulfed me in a hug. He smelled nice, like lavender with a bit of spice. I'm guessing Gucci guilty. Since when do I even care about his perfume? I could feel my cheeks heating up and turning into a beet red color. "I know you have a lot of problems deep inside of you. You should always know that I am always here for you, no matter what happens Anna." The way he said my name sent shivers down my spine. He then bid me good night and walked towards his house. Boy! Well, that was unexpected. It is going to be a long night.

Luke's POV:

I didn't know what I had just done there. It was in a spur of moment why I did that but I have no regrets. Ever since the first time my eyes landed on her, I knew that my feelings for her were true. I may look like a player on the outside but I am honestly a genuine person on the inside. I may have a few flings in the past but that was it! I never even had a girlfriend before for Christ's sake! I may have always been a jerk to her just for fun and especially annoy her but she is honestly the best thing that has ever came to my life. 

Anna's POV:

I quickly hurried up my room and got ready as fast as I could so that I can watch the pretty little liars catchup marathon. I brushed my teeth while I was in the shower to save time.

I glanced up the clock and found out that it was a minute before the show. I was still taking my sweet little time getting dressed because I thought there was a lot of time to spare.

"Shit!" I cursed out loud, knowing that I was going to miss the first few minutes of the show if I wasn't going to hurry up.

After seconds of debating whether I should wear my favorite Mickey Mouse pajamas or the Minnie Mouse ones, I decided that I should stick with my favorite.

As soon as I flopped(literally) down my bed and turned the tv on, the opening credits just started rolling. I realized that the show had started a bit later than the usual time for some reason but boy, I was lucky that I did not miss anything.

I tried my best to concentrate on the show but "that encounter" with Luke a few hours ago just stuck at the back of my head even though I wanted to forget that it ever happened because it brought back old memories.

Some memories I want to remember but most memories I want to forget and erase them from the past as if nothing happened at all.

Recap:

" Hey Anna, I slept with your mother too!"

" I heard her mother dated 20 men before meeting her father. What a slut!"

" I think she has other children besides Anna. My gosh! Can't she just stick to one man?"

Those things were the first thing I heard after coming back to school a week after my mother's burial. I hardly wanted to go back to school but I forced myself to get ready because I knew that I was gone for a long time.

A few days is already hard for somebody who has a scholarship to maintain because that person has to keep track of all the lessons in school. How much more if they were out for a week? I thought that things might start to lighten up but they only seemed to have gotten worse.

"Guys, can you just please shut it! Someone's going through a rough time and all you do is add insult to injury? What a sick joke you guys are playing! Now go to your classes!"

Everyone suddenly became silent, too silent that you can hear a pin drop on the floor and that was all because of  no one other than Luke Adams. After saying that, everybody dispersed. No one would ever want to mess with Luke.
