07 Friendly Start

"How is my daughter?"

"She's going to be fine, Yoojin. She just need rest. Let her see Dr. Kang also to check any trauma she may have." Dr. Park SeokHan said to her.

"Thank you so much. I don't know what would have happened if..." Yoojin was so terrified upon learning the assault on her daughter.

"Don't think about it anymore. What's important is that she is safe now." SeokHan cut her off to calm her down.

"I'll go now. If you need anything you can call me anytime, OK?" SeokHan needs to attend to his other patients.

"Yes. Thank you again." Yoojin said as Doctor Park leaves the room. 

She returned to her daughter still sleeping on the hospital bed. Yoojin made sure that the incident will not leak to the press.

She sat beside her bed and caressed her hair. Her princess looks so pretty even when asleep. She remembered singing her songs when she was younger on her bedtime. Time really has gone by fast.

There was a small knock on the door before Yoojin heard it opened.

"Madame, I'm really sorry about what happened. I should have been with her. I accept whatever punishment you will place upon me. Please accept my apology." It was MiRan. She blamed herself for what happened. It was her responsibility to protect Anna.

Yoojin kept her attention to her daughter. She knew how MiRan works. She was always reliable especially when it comes to Anna. She has become Anna's friend.

Yoojin inhaled deeply to calm herself. She still felt anger about the assault but she knew MiRan shouldn't be blamed. But she needed to make sure Anna is safe all the time.

She stood up and faced MiRan. She sighed then said, "I know it isn't your fault. I'm sorry if I yelled at you and said those words. I know you care about Anna and you didn't like what happened. I hope you understand the situation, I'm a mother who is scared about my daughter's safety..."

Yoojin and MiRan both turned their head to Anna who was still lying on the bed but looked distress and were murmuring.

Anna was so scared as she sees the man coming close to her! She was trying so hard to run fast as she could but the man was faster than her! She then suddenly heard her mother's voice calling her and she cried harder!

"Anna, wake up! You're just dreaming, Mama is here." Yoojin tried to calm her daughter. She is now hugging her and crying, too. MiRan went outside immediately to call for Dr. Park.

Anna opened her eyes. Still wet of tears. She felt her mother and knew that she was dreaming. She hugged Yoojin back and felt a little relieved.

Yoojin looked at her to see that she was awake and wiped Anna's tears.
"Baby, I'm so sorry. This shouldn't have happened to you. I'll make sure this will never happen again.."

"Ma, I tried to fight but he was strong." Anna said in between sobs to her mother. Hugging her tightly to calm herself and to believe that it was all over.

Dr. Park came inside in a hurry and saw them. He approached them cautiously and asked, "Anna, how are you feeling?"

Anna looked flustered so Yoojin said to her, "Anna, Dr. Park will check you up. He was also the one that saved you at that parking lot. Let him take care of you, OK?"

Anna looked at her mother and to Seokhan and just nod. She remembered he appeared before she passed out. And she was really grateful.

As Seokhan examines her, she said 'thank you' in almost a whisper.
