"JeHa, is it okay for you to wait outside until the dinner is ready? I just want to be out for a while."
"Sure, Anna." JeHa looked at her bodyguards to see if they will rebut.
"Mr Seo, I would like to be out for a while, just let MiRan come if we can't be alone." Anna spoke to the leader assigned to watch over her.
"Yes, Young Miss. We know Mr Kim. You can go outside, we'll be just around. You can have your privacy." Leader Seo nodded at JeHa. Madame Choi allowed JeHa to visit Anna so she trusted him.
Anna was a bit puzzled. She knew how strict her mother and her words are law. She thought maybe because her mother also knows JeHa so they were given freedom. JeHa was not a threat to her.
JeHa and Anna went out the garden and sat beside each other on a bench. The night sky is clear of stars but the moon shines dimly. Anna thought it was just like her, feeling alone and lonely. When she glanced beside her to look at JeHa, she saw him staring at her.
Anna felt shy and blushed in the way he stares at her. She avoided looking back at him.
JeHa noticed it and he opened a topic to remove her awkwardness.
"I heard from Dean Hyuk that you're not going back this coming school year. You must be sad, I know how much you love teaching. You were so enthusiastic about it the last time we talked." He looked back at her again, wanting to know how she really feels.Anna sighed deeply. "Yeah, I'm really disappointed. But I understand the situation. I just really hope this will end soon. It's tiring and I know Mom is having a hard time, too. When father died, she carried all the burdens the company he had left. Not to mention his political career."
Anna felt at ease having someone to talk to about her feelings. She hasn't talked to her mother and she's obviously avoiding meeting her. She knew it's still about the unsolved mystery of her attacker.
"I'm sorry, JeHa. I had to bore you here with the drama of my life."
"Anna. You have nothing to say sorry of. I am here with you because I wanted to and whatever bothers you, you can tell me." He was telling her but she kept her gaze on the ground so he took her hand, she didn't protest but looked at him with curious eyes.
JeHa is again drawn by the mystery of her eyes. He sees different kind of emotions but right now it is more of anxieties and uncertainties. He doesn't like it. He'll make sure to see her smile and happy.
"Anna, I like you and I don't want to see you unhappy. I will do anything to see the glow on your eyes. If you will allow me.. " JeHa looked at her with hope that she will open her heart to him. Squeezing her hand softly, he waited for her response.
"Honestly, you annoy me first time I met you. You were so confident and it was scary. But there was also something about you that interest me. I'm not sure what it is and I don't want to think about it. It just confuses me more." Anna knew that telling him what she feels will help her let go of fears.
JeHa smiled at her tenderly and while still holding her hand, his other hand touched her face and he said, "It's alright to feel scared, Anna. It only shows we acknowledge our weaknesses. And with that, we can find ways to overcome them. Allow me to help you find courage and be always by your side." JeHa was staring at her eyes, trying to see any defiance.
When Anna still didn't say anything and just looked at him. He wrapped his arms around her and when Anna didn't object, he pulled her closer and hugged her. They stayed in that position for a while. Never breaking the silence, Anna felt comfortable and safe in his arms to her surprise. 'Can I stay like this forever?' Anna thought to herself.
