If Not Now Then When?

5.) Avoiding me

       It has been exactly 18 days since Mr. Ambrose kissed me. It has also been exactly 18 days since Mr. Ambrose has been avoiding me.

      Not once did I utter a word to him nor has he to me. Rarely did I ever see him on this ship which was suprising because, you literally bumped into the same person 10 times a day on this small ship! Tomarrow we were suppose to land to our destination.

     I wasn't going to lie it hurt more then I anticipated. I was getting to attached and i had to remember who I was and who he was. He was my boss and I was his. . . What was I to him? Oh I didn't know anymore what was I to him just another women?

      Lilly you are a strong feminist and he wants to avoid you, two can play at it!

      Yeah but how exactly if he is avoiding me, meaning I couldn't avoid him because we don't see eachother.

      Ooo yeah you get a point their Mmh. . .

      I rolled my eyes who am I kidding I'm having an argument with myself.

      Hey I can hear your thoughts!

      You are my thought so shut up! Before I stop talking to myself forever, I'm sure you don't want that now.

      Okay fine you win but not for long because, their is always a good plan you can never deny me from.

      Fed up with my own thoughts I didn't notice Mr. Ambrose standing right next to me.

       "Just shut up will you! Honesty I have had enough! Ever since HE" someone interrupted me before I got to finish.

      "Who is this HE you are talking about Lillian Linton." a cold voice sent shivers down my spine.

      Want me to finish the sentence for you. I know you were going to say. Ever since he started avoiding you I appeared.

      "No I was not going to say that!" I said but then relized Mr. Ambrose was standing next to me oops!

      "What I meant to say was. .  I was not talking to anyone in particular when I meant HE." I said hoping he didn't relized I was talking about him, and how my face got red as a tomatoe so embarrassing.!

      "Tell me N.O.W" he said glaring at me with those piercing eyes.

      "I was talking about umm" I hesitated and spotted my own cooking pirate.

      "Ever since John" I said pointing at my own cooking pirate. "Asked me to be his umm wife HE is still umm waiting for my answer?" I said lying, it was clear I was lying not even my own sister would believe it. And let me tell you Ella is the most gullible person ever. I saw Mr. Ambrose Pinkie Twitch.

      "What is your answer for his proposal." he demanded what did I get my self into!

      "None of your business sir" I said bubbling with anger. Ooh so now you want to talk to me DONKY!

      "May I remind you, you are my secatary. Mine" he said glaring at me.

      "I see you have grown attached to him he shall be murdered at dawn. I will not have my mine secatary with a pirate!" He said without hesitation.

      Now look what you've done Lilly you ruined John's life! Great going he was a nice guy for the most part, and now he is to be murdered at dawn.

      Shut up I'm trying to think think Lilly! Honesty why was he so bothered anyways? I'll just say I declined his offer.

      "Actually sir I declined it because, as you know I'm a strong independent women. So no need for him to be murdered at dawn because, he has feelings for me. Not umm. . Once did he show affection until he umm. . Proposed?" I mentally groaned I sounded like I was questioning it.

     Then I add really quickly "he still will do all chores and cooking for free." I take out my own pocket watch.

       "Now if you'll excuse me I have work to do." I say lying, holding my head held high. Ha! Never mind two can play at this "avoiding game!

      Mr. Ambrose POV

      I watch as Lilly leaves, and quickly leave to find Karim.

     Lately I have been calling he/r Lilly I couldn't help it.

      And you need to start calling her Mr. Linton. Starting now, you are nothing like this so snap out of it!

      Right!

      "Karim get Lil- Mr. Linton two more guards. If those new guards, see her with that pirate inform me quickly." I say as he quickly nods and turns around to leave.

      "Also, inform Mr. Linton that she is not aloud to even see him, touch him, smell him, and even breath the same air as him!" I say turning around to find the pirate. (John)

      I could see by the look of fear and confusion in his eyes, he didn't know why he was here. His hands and feet were tide to the chair.

      "I'm going to ask you one more time" I say slowly losing my patience.

      "Why.did.you.propose.to.lilly. and I'll let you live!" I say slamming my fist onto the table separating us.

      "I never proposed to her" a  hiccup interrupting him yes he was crying.

      "I don't even talk to her she is a" he looked and I glared at him. He was going to insult her well only I could she was my little Ifrit.

      "What I meant to say is she's not like other women who are sweet gum drops. She is more like a sweet fireball." My lips twitched I tried my best not to grin I never grin.

       "I have a girl waiting for me already at home" he went on a tear escaping his eyes.

      "I love and would not ever cheat on the love of my life!" He snapped.

      "Very well you are dismissed, and when we get to our destination you shall go back to this girl. One thing's clear I don't ever want to see you again, or else I'll regret what I said." He nodded vigously as i untied him and he ran out the room.

      The way he snapped at me made me relized he was telling me the truth. That he loved a girl but that meant. . .

       Lilly was lying to me but why the hell would she lie!?

I NEVER stick to schedules. . So that's why I didn't update on the days I was suppose to. Oops 😅😕😕
