Alexander Regal POV:

I, Alexander was in the practice room preparing for my upcoming tournament. I was swinging my sword from left to right, up and down. Then I noticed Xavier standing in the doorway watching me.

 "Hello brother," I greeted him.

"I need to speak with you," replied Xavier.

"Can we talk later, after I finish my practice. I need to show our kingdom that I'm as good a swordsman as you brother," I said.

Xavier walked over to pick up a shield and a sword with a dark smile on his lips. "Well let me teach you a lesson little brother," smirked Xavier.

The two of us engaged in the swords play. There was clink and clank as the swords hit one another. After about ten minutes into the game, Xavier had me on the floor with the sword pointed at my neck. Panting for air, I said "Okay, you win Xavier."

"As always little brother, Xavier chuckled.

"I saw father tonight and he is getting more weaker. There isn't that much time left, for father to appoint one of us to the throne. I want to make sure that it will be mine when the time comes brother, so consider the deal we had discussed," said Xavier.

"Xavier I don't want you to ruin our name and reputation that our father has built with sweat and blood. All you want is power and riches and you don't care how you attain it, even if it means putting other lives in danger," I worried.

"I think it's best if all is done fairly and just Xavier, please, why have you become so heartless. What happened to you was years ago, let it go and free yourself, stop holding on the past brother," I tried explained .

"I miss the old us." I added

"I can't let it go and I won't. I loved her and she was perfect, but her betrayal to me has matured and made me cautious of all people. It was lesson to me little brother. I can not trust anyone. There are too many people who want to hurt me." Cameron replied angrily.

Then he stormed off.
