Fred cradled me, still wailing under his arm and George held my hand until we reached the common room. George whispered something to Fred and he nodded. George gave my hand a final squeeze and whispered that he'd be back soon. Fred led me over to the couch in front of the fire and sat me down with my feet up on the sofa and laid my head upon his chest. He didnt have to say anything, he just stroked my hair until I had calmed down and the sobs had turned to tears, then hiccups, then sniffles and finally stopped. I had come to realise that day how much the twins ment to me, both of them ment so much but each in different ways.George was like my playful, protective brother but Fred from the moment we set eyes upon eachother had ment something more. I didn't know if he feels it too, Ginny always teased me about it, but I didn't know. Perhaps he just thinks of me like a sister. But I hoped, I really wished felt it too.
"Rosie?"
I looked up. He smiled and I realised how close our faces were, a blush crept onto my face.
"Its gonna be okay, you know that Rosie? Me and George will help you through. You dont have to go it alone." He said warmly.
I nodded, still looking into his warm blue eyes.
"What if he doesn't want me Freddie?" I whispered looking down, tears threatening to spill over my cheeks.
Fred lifted my chin till I'm looking up in to his eyes. My heart fluttered.
"Then he is crazy, Rosie, your absolutely perfect," He told me gently.
All I could think was how perfect this moment was when he leant forward closing the small gap between us and gently pressed his lips to mine. When he pulled away I blushed and smiled.
"I've wa...." He began before the portrait creaked opened and George walked in balancing three plates in his hands, his tongue out in concentration.
Fred and I look at eachother and then burst out laughing at the same time.
George grinned, "Lunch is served."
