The Story Of Delilah Snape

Chapter Seventeen

((((Ok wow I have not uploaded in ages :0 I'm very sorry! Thank you to all my new fans and thank you to my long time fans :) your all amazeballs for continuing to read :) it should be easier for me to upload now I can do so from my phone though! starting from where we left off- )))))

"I got a letter." I whisper hoarsely, tears still stuck in my throat.

"what's so bad about that? Who was it from??" Fred asks

"From Bellatrix. She knows I am here and she says she is going to hunt me down and kill me if its the last thing she does. How does she know I am here I thought it was safe!" I dissolve into sobs again,"I just know she is going to hurt you and the other people I love to get to me!!" I choke out.

Fred cradles me, quiet for a moment as if thinking.

"She can't hurt you here, there are far too many protective spells around the castle, plus ain't no death eater a match for me and George so your about as well protected as is possible," he winks trying to cheer me up.

I laugh at the absurdity of it, "You're not allowed anywhere near her"

"Oh so your the boss of me now are you?" he smirks.

"Fred I'm serious you cant go near her I won't lose anyone else I love."

"So you love me now do you?" he wiggles his eyebrows.

"I ment all my Weasleys," I laugh.

"Crushing my dreams now are you?" he pulls a sad face.

"I'm sorry, I'm afraid I'm in love

already." I joke.

Fred feigns shock,"with who?"

"George Weasley," I grin.

Fred gives me a betrayed look with just a hint of fear, "My own brother."

I am momentarily alarmed at my own ability to read the emotion in the faces of others. Then reading the tinge fear in his eyes I assure him I am joking,"I'm kidding there's only one Weasley boy for me"

He grins and closes the small gap between our lips. Though the kiss tastes of tears, his and mine it is still perfect and I smile into it. He smiles happily back at me and stands, pulling me to my feet.

"George is really worried about you you know. Neither of us has been to any classes since we realised you must be hiding"

"when was that?"

"About halfway through first lesson,"

"You walked out of class to come and find me??" I asked quite flattered.

"Had a word with McGonagall, she gave us a note each," he smiles ,"she always has been pretty fair."

I decide there and then that I like that professor.

"Oh I forgot to say, Snape found me just before you showed up," I say.

"Really, what he do?"

"He sat beside me, whilst I was sobbing," Fred flinched a little,"Then I showed him the letter, he didn't know who its from, still doesn't, but he said he would ensure... something, I'm not sire then you appeared and he disappeared, did you see him?"

Fred frowns, "I did see somethif whip around the corner, I didn't know it was him."

"I wonder what he ment to say?"

"Who knows, maybe that he will make sure you're protected, or maybe that he will make sure you'll be eaten by the womping willow," We both laugh," come on, George will be really worried,"

As if on cue, a figure equally as paniced and on the verge of tears as Fred had been, rounded the corner, George.

"Delilah Rose Snape don't ever do that to me again!" George dive tackles me into a hug, "where have you been, what's the matter, why would you think we don't care???"

"I'm sorry George. I was just upset, I got a letter from Bellatrix."

"WHAT???!!!"

"I know, I don't know how she found me, but she has, and she has vowed to kill me, no matter the cost," tears well up again.

George hugs me tightly, "we won't let that happen will we Freddie?"

"No we wont," he says with a hint of triumph in being agreed with, "there's more, Snape showed up and sat with her,"

"No? What did he say"

"Something about ensuring something, we arnt sure what, possibly protection, possibly death by squid, we don't know, my appearance cut him off and he disappeared."

"That's weird," says George, releasing me from my long hug.

"Hmm. Are you hungry Rosie? Ron and Harry said you didn't eat at breakfast,"

Apparently they were paying attention after all I muse

"I guess so." I reply uncertainly.

"Well diner ended an hour ago so I guess we will have to make a trip to the kitchens." George grins.

"Really can you do that?? Where are they??" I ask most surprised.

"Ahhh dear Lila, so much to learn," says Fred pityingly.
