Alexandra’s Pov

I can't do this, I can’t do this, I keep repeating over to myself as I slowly came to a stop in the middle driveway. I didn't even know if I was on the right track, I had stopped in what seemed to be town and asked for directions, and I wasn’t mistaken, I was on the right track. What am I even doing?

“Get a grip Alexandra” I mutter to myself as I close my eyes. I couldn’t help but to get myself worked up over this. What if she didn’t like me? What if her family didn’t like me? Oh god, what if none of them like me? How many kids did she have again? I frown as I try to remember my last visit, it was a long time ago, when my mother actually acted like a mother and when my dad used to be nice and caring, surprising I know. I remember I was 6 maybe 7? I can’t do this. What was I thinking? I haven’t seen this people in years! I didn’t want to find out if they were horrible by living with them. You’re already here. I remind myself

“I guess it’s too late to change my mind now” I mumble as I open my eyes, I look ahead trying to imagine Julie waiting for me, instead of a family of complete strangers. I sigh as I start the car again suddenly feeling very tired, hungry and nervous. Soon the dirt road turned into pavement again and finally after a few minutes I stop the car behind another car.

“Holy shit” I whisper as I lean into my wheel to try to see the roof with my eyes. It’s even bigger than Julie’s, and that’s an excessively big house. After staring at the house for a few seconds I decided to woman up and get over this. I exit my car shutting the door with some difficulty, my eyes still fix in the house. How many people did Aunt Ella had living here? She couldn’t possibly have that many kids... Right?

I’m pull out of my thoughts when I feel something crash into my legs- “What the-?” I start as I look down, a boy, a little boy is hugging my legs as if I was about to disappear

“Well hello there” I say messing up the black wave hair in the kids head, he looks up smiling sweetly and I return it, almost impossible to stop myself

“Hi, I’m Bret, Are you Alexa- Alexa- Cousin Alex?” he asks finally giving up on saying my full name, I laugh as I nod to the little guy, my heart filling with a familiar feeling. I easy pick him up resting him on my waist as I grin at him- “Well big guy, how old are you? 20 maybe 21?” I ask him teasingly, he grins at me giggling and I take notice he’s missing a tooth

“I’m 5!” he exclaims showing me five finger, I gasp and smile.

“So you are a big guy!” I say making him nod eagerly, I giggle and then pull a serious face. “Wanna know a secret? I’m 18, that makes me very old doesn’t it?” I ask pouting slightly, he shakes his head and pokes my cheek.

“But you’re very pretty” he says clearly confused, I smile and kiss his cheek.

“Well thank you big guy, can you tell me where your mom is?” I ask looking around, I could hear laughing somewhere but I couldn’t be so rude to wonder off by myself. He points to where I suspect the laughing was coming from. I sigh and slowly start to make my way towards the noises

“Where’s Bret?” I heat a female voice ask as I get closer, I look over at him and he gives me the cutest most innocent smile I ever seen, this kid is going to be a handful when he grows up.

“Lil’ B? Where are you?!” screams a deep voice as we turn to the corner, I could see them now about 10 guys shirtless, yes freaking shirtless, and a woman with a white dress on.
