I look around trying to take in everything in front of me, everything looks, unfamiliar. I sigh as I run a hand through the smooth cold wall. The white color making the whole room bright, I don’t know why, but for some reason I hate it. I hear a knock and I turn around to find Ian grinning at me standing on the doorway, one hand resting on the wall.

“Hey! How’s it goin Al?” he asks while he looks around, I smile at him, impossible not to, I haven’t been here for more than a day and I already knew that Ian is the kind of person who smiles all the time, making you feel light and happy. I couldn’t bring myself to think how it would be this house without him and his smile.

“I’m fine, waiting for my stuff to finally get here” I say as I cross my arms, thinking to what my Aunt had said earlier. Papa D had called to tell Uncle Leo telling him they her stuff was on it’s way. He shipped every single thing I needed for my new room. Unbelieve, I somewhat abandoned them, in an act of selfishness and he still is caring for me. Something in the pitch of my stomach is making feel uneasy, guilt settles in me and I look away from the spot I’ve been focusing the last minute. Ian clears his throat somehow able to feel the change of my emotions-

“So, what color are you going to paint it? Or are you going to leave it white?” he asks as he leans into the doorway, I frown at the thought of seeing this white everyday, like a spotlight is focus on every little aspect of my privacy.

“I’m definitely not leaving it white, I just don’t know which color yet” I bit my lip thinking back to the text I send to Julie, it was the first one ever since I got here and it was to ask her which color she thought it would be the best in my room. See Julie’s mom is an interior designer, world renowned and her father is a popular architect. I know she’s mad at me because for one, she didn’t reply right away. She always had her phone with her. It’s another thing whether she chooses to answer it or not, and thinking back to my personalised ring and text tone she had a pretty good idea it was me. Second she only wrote, and I quote, I don’t know.

“Green?” asks Ian making me frown as I look out the window.

“I have enough with the trees out there” I say looking back at him. I love the woods, and nature, but I didn’t want to see green every time I woke up in the mornings. Ian chuckles and push himself off the doorway softly.

“Well you better figure it out soon, I heard your stuff will be here in less than two hours” he says casually, I raise an eyebrow at him expecting more suggestions from him, but instead he smiles brightly and then shuts the door behind him.

“Thanks Jaz.” I say making up a nickname for him. He seems to ponder that name.

“Oh I like that.” he winks and then taps the tip of my nose. I slap his hand away and he laughs. He has been doing that a lot and it’s not annoying but I was looking at the paint cans Uncle Leo had in the garage and now was not the time to touch my nose. I open the next can of paint.

“White again.” I sigh. “Don’t you people evey paint anything, I don’t know colorful.” I say

“Have you seen the house we have NO WHITE, which is why there is so much of it.” Jasper says and I nod, that was a good point. Every room in the house was a different color. Even Liam’s room was red, like a blood red by the way. Jasper sighs and then stands up.

“I’ll take you too the paint shop.” He says helping me up. When he pushes me up I end up landing in his chest. I look up into his brown eyes and a smile creeps on my face. Jasper was so sweet and he was just amazing. I hear a throat clear and I push Jasper away and look over at a pissed of looking Liam. For some reason I feel really guilty. But what did I do? I ask. Jasper and Liam are staring each other down. From where I’m standing it looks like they are having a conversation with eyes. Liam walks to me and pushes past me.
