Shawn's POV
I woke up feeling anxious, I just had a dream where Y/N left me because I wasn't being a great boyfriend. I turned over to my left to find her....not next to me! I began to breathe heavily and turned on the lamp on the bedside table. She really wasn't inside the room!
Your POV
You just finished drinking a glass of water and were now heading back to the room to continue your sleep. But as you stepped closer to the bedroom door, you heard faint sobs. You went inside to find Shawn face down onto a pillow. You immediately rushed over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.
He shoots his face up and pulls you in for a tight hug. You feel his tears land on your shirt and see a worried look on his face.
"Babe, what happened?" You asked.
"Oh, Y/N. I thought I lost you...I can't stand not being with you." He whispers and you frowned. Seeing Shawn like this is heartbreaking.
"I-I had a nightmare that you left me...I'm sorry for not being a great boyfriend." He says and you kiss his forehead.
"Shawn, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. I love you too much that losing you would make me feel empty as well. Please, babe. Don't cry...." You tell him and he sniffled. He holds you tighter and continues to cry.
"Y/N..." He whispers.
"Yes, babe?"
"I'm scared...w-what if I lose you? I wouldn't know what to do..." He looked more worried.
"Shawn, I promise I won't leave you. I'm right here and you won't lose me. Now come on, let's go back to bed." You say and lay down next to him. He pulls you close to his chest and wraps his arm around you.
"Goodnight, hunny. I love you." He whispers and kisses your cheek.
"Goodnight, Shawn. I love you too." You reply and rest your head onto his shoulder.
