For now it was later at night and Cas had nothing better to do. Well perhaps look up some information on the brain for classes. Mia was in the cellar discussing plans with Alec, so she said. Then her phone started vibrating. A text from Jack. Slightly odd.

JACK

Hey

She still had homework to do. She'd still get to it. Wouldn't hurt talking she supposed.

Hi

Hardly a minute passed before the next text. Was this normal? Didn't it usually take a guy two minutes to respond unless someone hijacked it?

JACK

How's it going?

Alright. Homework.

JACK

That's cool, what class?

Biology, looking up stuff for the brain

JACK

Why

Essay or something. Apparently love is around the same area where someone would get high or something from this thing called cocaine.

JACK

Cool?

Probably just whatever it is I'm feeling for you caused by that

JACK

You know how you say that about me? That's the same way I feel about Aurora basically.

.....She's just going around with other guys lately and you don't mind?

JACK

I had a date with her earlier and she was casual and stuff. It's funny how you blame liking me on that function of a brain but its a problem sworn that happens with me.

It was true by most cases. Another few minutes passed.

JACK

It's also funny how you tried to make a move on me a while back, then say you like me, all while you're going out with whatever his name is.

Would you shut up about that? It was incredibly stupid I tried and yes I am happy with Antonio.

JACK

I don't believe that

Mia walked in fixing her hair.

"Who are you texting?" She asked.

"Just...people," Cas said hesitantly.

"It's Jack don't lie."

"Okay fine."

"Look, Antonio came to the hallway saying he didn't appreciate your flinging around with Jack."

"Right...Antonio."

"You should just give up on Jack. He's madly in love with Aurora and you're probably just another girl. Not to mention you're also already in a committed relationship."

"You're right, it's not fair to Antonio."

Mia grinned. There was another text from Jack. She needed to finish up the information already.

Makoto had noticed something was off about Hazel since classes had ended. She had sat crunched on her bed her hands covering her ears. Just still. Her homework hadn't been done so Makoto wrote some answers on a separate sheet of paper. Might as well help but little.

The next days classes was utterly boring. Hardly anything happened. Hazel had noticed that Aaron wasn't as close as he had been. Guard duty he had insisted he shouldn't work with her. Was she really that feeble? She didn't recall doing anything wrong. Sides the previous day which she didn't have control over.
