The next morning Group Two departed for the Hospital. Cas didn't bother going to school instead messaging Aurora. Admittedly, she missed Auroras company but the girl gave her a headache. Brainwashed or not. Thankfully she still had Aurora's number programmed. At the current time she was trying to persuade Aurora to get Jack to meet with the group. She had of course attempted to talk to Jack first about the subject but he had yelled at her to fuck off. Still he was the Chosen One and the rest of the project members needed him.
However it was her task to kill him. It hadn't changed. Part of her did resent him for getting the cleanser. Though she was nearly successful in getting Aurora to persuade him to go with the group. This way when he did go, he'd be walking into Lord Phoenix's grip and he'd be dead. Killing him indirectly seemed to be less stressful on her conscious. After twenty minutes Aurora responded again.
AURORA
Jack says he'll go
Cas responded by telling Aurora to have Jack meet her in front of the House of Justice. Perhaps an hour later she met him in front of said meeting spot. He wore a grey jacket over a grey polo and jeans.
"Why did you want me to meet up with you?" He demanded.
"The other members, they're in trouble at the old ruin and they need you. After all you're the Chosen one," Cas said.
"Let's go. The sooner it's over, the less I have to look at you."
She bit her lip but kept quiet. They hiked through the woods in an attempt to catch up.
Hazel trekked through the thicket of woods. Mia had stopped the group abruptly.
"Do you hear that?" She asked.
The group went silent positioning their weapons for an attack. Hazel saw a black figure in the trees. A Darkness. She shot her gun, missing. Then it's long black clawed hand grabbed Jordan flying away.
"Jordan!" Sofia shouted.
"C'mon we've got to go forward. We can't waste time over casualties," Mia said.
The second group hid behind trees looking down on the Hospital. Alec waved his hand and the group ran down the hill crashing through the front doors. Before any of the staff members could protest, gun shots rang out.
As the four nameless group members ran through the halls, the staff quickly gave into surrender.
"Now what do we do?" Antonio asked Alec.
"Ve sake over control," Alec responded.
As they wandered around they noticed the staff members running. Then the lights shut off replaced by the emergency lights. An alarm bell started to ring.
"What's going on!" Makoto shouted.
Antonio grabbed her arm as they ran back towards Doctor Hugo's office. Surprisingly, the doctor hadn't left, instead he looked at the four in satisfaction. Aaron aimed his gun at the doctor.
"Italy, Japan, Russia, and...America," Doctor Hugo said. "This is a turn of events."
"Why are you addressing us by our project names? Why is everyone rushing around?" Makoto asked.
"Because that is what you are. They're evacuating because this island will be demolished," he replied.
"Why would you do that?" Makoto shrieked.
"This utopia we've put you in was to determine the fate of humanity. We tried to keep you From being influenced by the actions in the War. However, within the hour the war we've been fighting will end," the Doctor replied.
"We've been used this entire time," Aaron mumbled.
"Yes. Greece's envy of Germany led Germany to being wiped out from the war, Australia dropped out of the war early on, and recently Brazil," the Doctor smirked.
"C'mon I'm done with this asshole," Antonio said.
The four started to turn out until Alec turned around and shot the Doctor.
"Alec!" Aaron shouted.
"Zit was onvy es arm," Alec said.
They ran out to an elevator shaft where people had been entering earlier. Antonio kept pressing the button angrily.
"It takes time," Makoto sighed.
"I want to get out of here bitch!" Antonio snapped.
"Don't call her that!" Aaron shouted.
Antonio huffed and started walking into the elevator when the door opened. Makoto shouted at him to stop as he started to enter. The elevator shaft was empty and Antonio smirked as he looked back at them. Then the elevator fell ontop of Antonio as he fell. When it rose up, Eloise had her hands on her sides, smirking.
"Cants say I'm sorry. The poor bastard had it coming," Eloise smirked.
"You just... killed him," Makoto said softly.
"Oh hon," Eloise smiled.
Her image flickered replaced by that of a Darkness.
"Run!" Alec shouted.
They ran towards the enterance with the Darkness on their heels. Alec screamed as it's thin arm grabbed his legs. The Darkness swallowed him up and tried to catch up to Aaron and Makoto. It stopped once they reached the woods.
"Should we try to find the others? To let them know what happened?" Makoto said.
"I think we should try to keep ourselves safe first. I mean, we should wait on Hazel, she'll come back and want to see us," Aaron panted.
"You like her don't you?"
"Why would you say that?"
"It's obvious you dump. Tell her I said that she was the greatest friend I've ever had."
Aaron looked at her confused before she ran out into the trees. The Darkness crept closer and Aaron ran towards the House ignoring Makoto's screams.
She was awake again. Her breathing was fast and when she tried to calm down it seemed harder to. A boy stood over her in a school uniform.
"This depends on you, but when you leave, remember the name Dean Overland. Got it?" He said.
She tried to nod her head yes.
"Jeffery, what are you doing?" A voice demanded.
She saw a man who resembled the boy, Jeffery, walk to the side of the metal bed. A patch on his white coat was stained red. It was a familiar sight. Blood. Her sister. Her mother. What had become of them?
"You were supposed to deploy the rest of the projects and you converse with them!" The man shouted. He turned towards her, injecting her with a needle. Again, she fell into sleep. Dean Overland.
