I ran and ran. I was so exhausted, I have been running for the longest minutes of my life, but I needed to get home as fast as I can. I could only think of my mother and brothers.

In the distance I could see smoke everywhere near my home. My vision blurred by tears as the most horrible thoughts began to appear in my mind. What would the Empire want with us? Would they be alright?

When I finally got there I couldn't recognized that place as my home. The place were I live my whole life was destroyed. The house look vandalized, it was a mess. All the crops that surrounded the house were burning in a big flame. All ruin... my home ruin.

My family was nowhere to be seen. I could feel that they were inside, that I hadn't saw it all. But nothing could ever prepared me to what I saw next, the worse had yet to come.

I enter the house terrified. Everything was broken, tore into pieces on the ground, and then I saw him. My big brother laying on the floor, with a lethal wound in his stomach.

"Rondo... Rondo?!" I cried. "Please don't do this! Answer me! Wake up!"

I didn't get a response. I shake him and pull him, but he didn't move.
Who could have done something as horrible as this. His body was so lifeless, my brother was dead in my arms.

Then I hear a noise. Under all that wreckage was someone. I began to move the objects, for all I knew it could be my mom or Lunas. When I get all the stuff beside me I saw my mother. She was panting. It seem clear that she had difficulty to breath.

"Mom... Mama?..." I put her head in my lap. "Mama, please. I can't lose you too."

She was coughing, looking for air.

"Ale... Al... Alexia..."

"Yes mom I'm right here. Listen to me, you're going to be alright."

"My dearest daughter you have to be brave..."

"Mom but..."

"You are strong." She interrupted me.

"I know that you are destined to do good, don't you ever forget that."  She said all those things as tears flooded through her face.

"But Rondo is de..." I couldn't said the word.

"Your brother and I will be always with you." She put her gentle hand in my cheek. "Remember to trust the Force. And take care of your little brother. You only have one another now. You have to brace yourself."

That was the last words I heard from my mother. The sweet sound of her voice will no longer be in this world. She took her last breath in my arms. I don't know how much time I stay there, not knowing what to do, hugging my mother and crying.

The sight of a young boy crying take me out of my thoughts. Lunas was there watching me, watching all of it.

"Alexia... Mom hide me. They... they kill them." Lunas was there. He face everything on his own.

I immediately ran to him and hug him. We were both crying, needing this nightmare to end, but it wasn't just a nightmare this was our life now.

We lost our family in the scariest of ways in just one day.

"Lunas, listen carefully, I know this is hard, but I will protect you with my life. We can't trust no one, we only have each other. And we will get through this."

"I'll keep you safe. I promise this to you and to our mother and brother. Do you understand?"

"Yes sister."

After long hours I took my brother out of that hell. I didn't know what to do next. Where do we're live, how do we gonna survive this? The ones that kill my family would be after us in any second.

The only thing I knew in that moment was that I will protect Lunas with my life. All that anger, fear, sadness and pain that I felt was going to make me stronger to get justice for my family and make them paid for my suffering.
