Chapter1

            "We don't meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our path for a reason.Be with someone who is proud to have you.I miss you a lot, you don't even know." Maya said using her phone. "Wtf are ya reading?" Unique texted her she looked up laughing. Maya and her friends Unique, Latrell and Marlex they were in Unique's room. Marlex and Latrell were busy on the xbox. "Hey lets go do something." Maya said leaning over Marlex and Latrell. They looked up from their game they shrugged. "Kinda busy here." Latrell said playing Grand Theft Auto. Maya frowned and looked at Unique she pulled him arm making him fall off his bed. He moaned standing up. "Come on guys." He said reaching over and turning off the game. Latrell and Marlex got up Maya and Unique walked outside with them following. 

         "Who is that?" Maya said pointing to a boy that was running towards them. "That's my friend Jordyn." Unique told her he stopped running Unique and Jordyn walked off somewhere so it was only Marlex, Latrell and Maya she watched them play basketball. "You guys suck." She said sitting down on a bench. It was getting dark but no one was paying attention Jordyn and Unique came back but Maya was busy on her phone to notice. Maya stood up and sat on The other side of Unique. He was about to say something but Maya put her hand over her mouth. She kept staring out towards the woods Unique moved her hand. "What?" He asked whispering she pointed to the woods. Marlex stopped and turned so did Latrell. It got really quite no one knew what Maya was staring at she got up and started to walk towards it but Marlex pulled her wrist. "There is someone over there." She whispered telling everyone. "That's not possible we are the only people that come here." Latrell said not whispering Maya screamed a gun shot went right past her. They started running Maya looked back she couldn't see the persons face but she saw he had a dark black jacket looking back slowed her down. "Come on!" Unique shouted at her he picked her up by her legs. She was still looking back she didn't even notice Unique was carrying her. "Come on there's my house!" Marlex said unlocking the door and shutting it behind them.

   Everyone stared at Maya as she sat quietly. "Where are your parents?" She asked Marlex he shrugged. "Not here." He said looking out of his window. "Do we call the police or just sit here?" Latrell asked. No one said anything this never happened so they idn't know what to do. "I need to go home." Maya said standing up. "You can't that guy might still be there!" Jordyn said Maya sat back down. "I'm calling my mom." Maya dialed her mom but there was no answer she shrugged. "I have no signal. One of you use your phones." She said. "Um. Where is your bathroom?" She asked Marlex pointed down the hall as she left down the hall. "Latrell Unique Jordyn Call your moms." Marlex said. "My mom isn't home." Unique and Latrell said Jordyn didn't have his phone. "Maya has been in the bathroom for a while. I am going to go check up on her." Jordyn said walking down the hall. He came back up running. "Guys Mayas gone!" He yelled everyone jumped up.
