Percy

"Hey. Ugh! Hey wake up!" A pillow repeatedly hit my face.

"What! I'm up what do you want Kate?" I groaned, covering my eyes with my arm.

"Well we both need a break, and Annabeth could use a break from us. So let's take a fun day, Poseidon style."

I uncovered one eye and looked at her. "Is it Annabeth approved? Cause if I do something she doesn't like then I lose, bad."

"Yep, she knows and approves." Kate smirked.

I jumped up and grabbed clothes and we left, eating donuts that Kate had snagged from the pavilion.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

"Well I found a waterfall in the middle of a meadow just inside the camp border where no one goes." She answered then smirked at me. "Race ya?"

"You're on. But no changing forms." I told her then took off running.

"Hey!" She yelled fire I hear the crashing of her running through branches and brush.

She soon caught up to me and I let her take a slight lead until I found what direction we were headed. Then i speed up and was soon running even with her. She looked over to flash me a smirk before she left me completely in the dust.

~~~~~~
I dropped from exhaustion as soon as I reached the clearing. The run had left me winded while Kate was dancing around me.
"Guess who won! Ha! You ain't got nothin on me!"
I just groaned in response. She sighed and picked up my arm. I thought she was going to pull me up until she started dragging me towards what sounded like running water. I looked up right as she pushed her foot into my side, rolling me right into the water. I surfaced, soaking wet, to see her already climbing the cliff face beside a roaring waterfall. The clearing we were in was amazing. The waterfall emptied into a large lake before it let out into a river heading to camp.
"What are you doing?" I called up to her.
"Are you coming or not?" She called back down.
I shook my head. The cliff was a little too high for me and I didn't know what she had planned.
"Your loss!" She called back and took a few steps back so she was out of my sight.
"Kate?" I asked after a few moments. Just as I was about to go up there she reappeared and backflipped right off the top of the cliff over the waterfall. The fall was hundreds of feet up in the air so the fall would be long, but she looked like she knew because she was twisting her body to fall upside down and the up again. Right before she reached the pool of water at the bottom, she twisted into a dive and plunged right into the water. She surfaced again right in front of me.
"You coming this time?" She smirked.
I felt a grin grow on my face as I nodded. Yeah okay I'm not supposed to like heights and I don't but it looked fun, sue me. She pulled me out of the water and up to the cliff then started climbing. Shaking my head, I climbed after her and we soon reached the top.
Taking a shaky step I looked over the fall and quickly backed away.
"What's wrong? You're not scared are you?" Kate asked.
"No of course not. I just don't feel like it. I'll watch from the ground." I answered heading back the way we came.
"Okay but if something goes wrong and I break my neck or something and you could have prevented it, you know if you didn't chicken out, I'll be sure to forgive you. If I survive." Kate said heading towards the cliff.
