Wills POV
I just got done with a car accident victim every day I realize that we need to look at each day as if it were last. Today might've been that young women's last day, as she slipped into a coma, so we never know, she might wake up she might not. All I knew is I soon will have to tell her daughter, Viola Finntin, that her mom might not be coming out of the coma. I'm snapped out of my thoughts when my brother, Jay is yelling my name.
"Jay what the hell happened" I yell as he carries a young girl into the ER. "15 year old Viola Finntin shot in the lower abdomen at her rifle match" Jay says
"Go to treatment 3" Maggie Lockwood says.
"What the hell happened"I ask a boy walking in.
"We were unpacking rifles, she saw something yelling my name, "Nick Gun", pushing me to the floor. It should be me right there not her." The boy says as to coachs wearing their uniforms walk in. One from South Chicago high school the other from Riverside high school.
"Call the OR, tell them we're on our way" I say to Maggie Lockwood the nurse at the nurses station as I walk out of the room Violas being treated in. "You guys can go wait in the waiting room in the ICU" I say heading to the elevator with viola, as Jay takes the coaches, and nick up to the ICU.
I watch as Dr. Rhodes does her surgery, which doesn't take long.
I go find the coaches and Nick, "can I speak to her coach?" I ask as the coach, she gets up and walks over to me.
"When we were doing chest scan to check for internal bleeding, we found instead that she has lung cancer, and at such a young age, The only thing I see that could've caused this is the lead in the pellets you guys shoot. The lead poisoning caused her lung cancer therefore I'm going to recommend that all rifle programs in the state be disbanded" I say walking away before I lose it!
