"She doesn't  know he's killed people and always. ALWAYS GETS AWAY WITH IT. She doesn't know what he can do to her. He's a psychopath, we've called him The Joker when we was 5, it was his favorite villain, but then we became the villain and hurt people without even caring, socialpath!" Nash went on and on about him and how much he hates knowing Minx is with him.

It makes his heart skip beats and his fist tighten. Dorian, he took it personality and went out of his way going after them along with Ryann and Ethan, it was like they were hunting them down and making sure they don't go anywhere far.

"Ethan?" Ryann spoke softly as Dorian was on his phone texting Minx multiple times. Ethan looked over at Ryann who was worried and scared, he saw the fear in her eyes. He took her hand and kissed it rubbing her knuckles as he kept his attention on the road.

"What if he-"

"He wouldn't, I'll make sure of it, Cam, Nash, and I are doing everything of our power to make sure she's safe, trust me on that babe." he spoke from the heart, he's sweet and down to earth, that's why Ryann fell in love with him in the first place.

The same reasons Minx was falling in love with Hayes. Ryann kept her phone on her for hours on hours until her phone began to ring and vibrate in her pocket.

It felt like the world became brighter when Minx's name lit up her phone screen.

She put it on speaker and could feel her fingers tingle with excitement and relief.

"Ryann?" Minx said on the other line, she covered her mouth and smiled filled with excitement from just being able to hear her voice, not being able to see your best friend in hours is torture enough.

"Yeah? Where are you? You ok? Is Hayes with you?" She couldn't keep the questions inside any longer it rolled of her tongue uncontrollably.

"Uh yeah? Why?"

"Everyone's worried sick about you? Are you ok? Did he hurt you?" Minx knew what this was about and she frowned as she had to be on this topic again and talk about it.

"Look Ryann, I'm more then grateful that you care for me, but if you're calling me to tell you that 'I don't know what he's capable of ' and ' what he can do to me ' then I don't wanna talk to you, understand?"

"Minx! He's a psychopath!"

Nothing in response, she left. The sound of the call ending shattered Ryann's heart to pieces and broke her down making her cry, she lost her best friend over something she's scared of.

It brings shock to everyone knowing Minx loves someone who's scary and everyone's terrified of.

"Who was that, princess?" Hayes asked soft seeing tears run down her cheeks and her putting her phone away angrily, she shook her head and didn't answer. He pulled over and watched as Minx rested her head in her hands covering her face.

"Hey, hey. Are you ok? You can tell me" he spoke to her gently, he sat closer to her as he put his arm around her. He kissed her head and brought her closer to him as she cried harder into his chest.

She grabbed ahold of the collar of his shirt and listened to his heart pound. "Shhh... you know I hate it when my princess cries." He whispered calming her down and her tears stop falling.

"Can we just go home?"

"Yeah"

Ryann bit her lip in frustration and slammed her hand down on the dash board causing Ethan and Dorian to jump and flinch. This was a whole new side of Ryann howlett, a side that wasn't pleasant.

"How about we go-"

"Shut up! And yes, we should!" She yelled at Dorian, he shut up like he was told and the whole car ride home was silent, besides Ryann's heavy breathing. It felt like hours passed when they finally arrived at home, but seeing another car in the drive way.

The jeep, they all were pretty aware that the jeep wasn't there when they left. They gave each other stares for a second before unbuckling their seat belts and jumping out of the car and running up to the door, they ran into the house and looked around.

"Don't go up there, they need time alone" Cam said as he was doing the dishes, they looked at him and didn't have anything to say, Ryann couldn't handle seeing Minx and wanted to apologize for her over protectiveness.

"Why not? Can't I just say something to her, please?" Cam is usually the good cop and let's people calm down and let them be, he listens and pays attention to people's problems and is willing to help them.

Cam shrugged "that's up to Hayes and Minx" he said setting the dishwasher and sitting down at one of the tall chairs at the island. She looked at Ethan and Dorian thinking of the stuff she's gonna say.

And so, without hesitation she walked up the stairs and stood in front of her door ready to talk.

"Minx? Can we talk for a second?" She said from the other side of the door, she didn't hear anyone talk but she heard footsteps come to the door and the lock of the door unlock, she backed up a few steps and looked down. The door opened... Hayes stood there.

"Yeah?" His voice made Ryann chock on air and lose her train of thoughts, she tucked a strain of hair behind her ear and cleared her throat before speaking to him, he hovered over her as fear ran through his body.

"Uhh... can I help you?" He said getting impatient, she looked up at him finally

"Um, is Minx in here?" She asked trying not to pull his trigger and make him mad cause god knows what will happen when she gets him mad and what he will do to her. He stepped closer to the door.

"She's sleeping why?"

"I wanted to tell her I'm sorry." She played with her fingered and tucked her knuckles in her sleeves of her blue sweatshirt that had her last name across it ' Howlett ' he nodded awkwardly and bit his lip.

"I'll tell her you came by when she wakes up" he offered, she smiled and nodded.

"Ok cool, thanks" as calmed as she sounded her adrenaline was pumping. She walked away from the door and began to walk down the stairs and heard the room to Minx's door shut and lock.

Hayes ran his fingers through his hand and looked back at Minx sleep peacefully in her queen size bed, her room was a dark navy blue type of color due to the dark clouds in the sky and the heavy rain pouring down. He walked over to her bed and got in, he was pretty cozy. His sweatpants and his favorite shirt on and Minx laying by his side.

She's small and petite, and he's big and strong and holding her was easy and the way she slid right into his arms made Hayes feel protective. He wrapped his arms around her as she stayed sleeping.

He kissed her forehead and closed his eyes when he fell asleep with his love in his arms.

"She's sleeping" Ryann groaned and rolled her eyes as she sat down on the couch with Dorian, Ethan, Cam, and Nash. They nodded and kept their focus on the tv.

"Hey how about you and I go out somewhere, yeah?" Ethan rubbed Ryann's upper thigh as she turned to him, she frowned.

"Like where?"

He shrugged "anywhere. Just to relax and get out mind off of things" she nodded and kissed his lips.

And so, they both got ready for their adventure that's waiting for them.....
