True Love, OR So I Thought

Chapter 5

Ava's pov

"Ava wake up please I need you don't die not now not ever wake up Ava please get up!"
I could hear everything I just couldn't see or move. I wanna get up. I know his voice I can hear it but I can't move. It's like something is holding me down. I can't move. It's hurting. My head. I don't remember what happened. But I wanted to get up. I opened my mouth to try to say something but nothing came out so I just laid there.

Lukes pov

"Ava! Please get up I need you please get up."
I started to cry and I screamed her name as they pushed the cart with her on it and told me I couldn't go back there with her. All I could do was sit around and hope she was ok. I need her to get up so I can tell her that I'm back woth my ex girlfriend. I want her to know. It's been a week since I got back with her. I wanna tell her. Then I got a text from her?
"Hey Ava will be fine this is her brother. I'm looking straight at you and want you to go home."
"How am I supposed to go home when my bestfriend is hurt."
"We'll go home I'll let you know what happens."
"None I will not go home. Not until she comes out of there ok and alive and moving."
"Whatever but you hurt my sister's feelings and I'm not happy about that."
"Look I'm sorry I don't love her like she loves me. I love her to death like family but my mind is on someone else."
"Maybe ask you who."
"My girlfriend"
"Does Ava know about your girlfriend?"
"No not yet but I was gonna tell her."
"Hmm well hope you have fun being cussed for not telling her when you should've."

What did he mean? She won't be mad at me for that. Will she?

Ava's pov

He's done something bad. I saw it. I feel it. He's been lying about something. He doesn't need me. He just wants someone that cares. He used my feelings for granted. I'm starting to fade out. Everything's going blank.

Next thing I know I'm jumping up and I yelled
"Luke!"
I don't remember what happened in my dream. Well my PTSD nightmare. He has it too. PTSD. We both have it. It wasn't hard to tell. Especially when you have it too. He still didn't need me tho.

Lukes pov

I woke up to the doctor telling me I needed to fill out some paperwork to take Ava home. Her brother told the doctors that I would be taking her home. I didn't have my license only a permit. I had to take back roads so that I wouldn't get caught.
Ava raised her head up and said
"What did you do Luke?"
"What do you mean I didn't do shit?"
"Bullshit stop lying to me Luke. There's something you haven't told me. I wanna know and I wanna know now."
Bad thing is I am hiding something from her. My girlfriend.
"Of course you don't answer me. How fucking great my bestfriend won't talk to me."
"Ava you really wanna know?"
"Yes fuckin tell me."
"I have a uh girlfriend."
She's went blank. Tears went down her cheeks. I pulled over. I leaned over to wipe the tears off her face but she pushed me away.
"Don't touch me. Take me home."
"But-"
"Now!"
"Okay I'm sorry."
I pulled on the road and started driving again. With tears in her eyes she said,
"I still love you and forgive you for not telling me."
I didn't know what to say. What kinda girl holds on even after her heart was broken. I felt so bad. She's in my car crying over me.
"I'm so sorry Ava."
"Save the lies, I don't wanna hear them."
She's gazed out the window. She couldn't even look at me.
"Ava please look at me."
She's didn't say anything. She just kept staring out the window.

I was having flashbacks of everytime I caught her smiling at me. I needed her more than she knew. Next thing I know she's screaming my name. When I looked up a tractor trailer was headed straight for us. I swerved off the road. The car stopped about a mile down the road. She was knocked out. And there was blood on my window. I got out ran to her side and pulled her out of the car. She had cut her head. I called 911.
