Chapter 8

Ava's pov

I woke up to a couple texts from Matt. "I'm out" that's what he said. I didn't know what to say so I just told him that my phone was dead. I loved him alot and he was so sweet and nice. I didn't see this coming.

Lukes pov

It's been around a week since I've seen Ava. I don't know what she did over the break cause I never texted her. She said that she wanted to tell me something and then said she got a boyfriend. She said he already didn't like me. He probaly knows that she's in love with me. I don't know but if he has a probaly with me then I can beat the shit out if him. He can't take her from me she's my bestfriend.

Ava's pov

Today is the first day back at school from break. I was up all night crying over some petty bullshit I shouldn't have worried about. I mean it upset me that he said that but I didn't care anymore. I was worried about Luke. It's been a week since we talked. Things might be different now. I have a boyfriend now and he has a girlfriend now. I just hope nothing changed.

Lukes pov

Last week was Christmas. Ava got me a present. It wasn't much but it was thoughtful since I didn't get her anything. I love her to death but truth is I think of her as family. She doesn't know that though. She probaly feels the same way now that she has a boyfriend but I don't know.

Ava's pov

The only thing I could think about was luke. Maybe if I start to think of him like a brother my feelings will go away. Do I love him? Yeah no doubt. Do I need him? Hell yeah. But he doesn't feel the same. I just gotta let go of this dreamland and surf to reality.

Nothing was the same after that. He came to me first this morning. I was in a way really happy to see him. I love seeing him. The way his eyes sparkle. I get lost in them all the time. Time stops when he look at me. It's like he's the only one there.
"I gotta stop" I whispered to myself. He said
"STOP what Ava?"
"Oh nothing nvm I was talking to myself."
"Tell me"
"I'm afraid that if I tell you that you'll not want to talk to me again"
"That won't happen, you're my bestfriend through thick and thin til death do us part. I'll always talk to you."
"Look ok I'll text you and tell you later."

Then the bell rang to get out of school.
