Cory was speechless, with Mary blushing.
"It's okay, Idon't wanna be single, and the guy like you's my type." Mary said.
Cory smiled. "How did you know?'
"Since the day you carried me off the river. Punching Danielle in the cheeks and visiting me everyday after your woodcutting."
"So you know."
"Of course I know."
"And I don't wanna hurt you Mary, I know i'm new here. You know that, and you haven't been to our house, I just wanna tell you that I like you because you can understand me. You are so depressed that made me here."
"What do you mean? You're so weird. C'mon in the house you know that you haven't entered it yet. Come and let's share the milk." Mary smiled, being so happy with someone who could understand and like her, could protect her like other people.
"Mary, I can't. You won't understand, and I can't tell you."
Mary's heart sank, but she remembered Danielle, giving her the courage, making her aggressive. She grinned. "Kiss me."
Cory flinched. "I can't."
"With tongue."
"MARY!" Cory said, his eyes widening.
"You're kissing me now, or I won't forgive you."
Cory leaned closer, his head urging downward. His lips were going back, Mary's mind raced.
"This is for hurting me Danielle." She said. She leaned toward Cory, licking her lips, savoring the life of a different girl. Changed. Rebellious. She's never the same.
She kissed thouroughly Cory, but she felt something. Nothing. She opened her eyes.
"Mary! What'cha standing there for?"
Mary's eyes widened. "Where's Cory?'
"CORY WHAT?" His grandpa shouted back at her from the barn.
Mary's heart skipped a beat.
"How fast can Cory run?" She thought to herself. "And worse. What is Cory?"
