A/N: I'm pretty sure that everyone reading this one-shot is Filipino, so I have no need to translate. I also presume that most of you here are bisexual. If not, then skip this now. Also, there will be a lot of timeskips here.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•You were standing in front of SM, your phone at hand. You were texting your best friend, Maria, who was supposed to be here forty minutes ago. Your groceries slumped on the ground.
||You- MAAAARRIIIIIAAAA!!! SAAN KA NA?!
Hoy, sorry po. May traffic kase! -Maria||
||You- Di, e lakaran mo!
Hindi, ah! Ang layo pa ako sa SM! -Maria||
||You- YOU'VE BEEN THERE FOR FORTY MINUTES, HOW BAD IS THE TRAFFIC?!
Welcome to Manila. -Maria||
You sigh and turn your phone off. It's been a week since you came home from (other country that isn't the Philippines), and your friend, Maria, has been bringing you around since. Heck, the Filipina made you live with her!
You two have known each other ever since you were five. Maria was the oldest girl in a rich family, while you were an only child in a commoner family. When you were twelve, you had to move to (country other than the Philippines) because of your father's work. Although you've been in contact ever since, you still missed her a lot, and the feeling was mutual.
An hour of waiting later, and a familiar woman rolled up in an Audi Q5.
"Hoy, (Y/N), dito na-"
"WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG? I WAS HERE FOR A HOUR! GAGO KA NAMAN, MARIA!" You hollered at her.
"Ay, nako. Nakakaburat na talaga 'tong traffic sa Aura!" She sighed an exasperated remark. Well, not really exasperated, since the traffic at Aura (or Manila in general) sucked balls.You giggled and got in the passenger's seat, putting the groceries in the back. She glanced over at you.
"So you wanna go home, or may pasyalan pa kami?"
"Wala. Umuwi na tayo." You replied, tired. She sighed.
"Sayang. May magandang pizza place na malapit dito." She sighed. You huff in irritation. She was always doing this, bringing you to nice places, be it malls, restaurants, parks, even when they were outside Manila! It was a sweet gesture, but it got kinda annoying at times. She was a very persistent person. You just wanted to go home and hang out with Maria.As you were going back, and lo and behold, there was no traffic. Or at least, not as much traffic as it usually does. Bored, you turned on the radio. Then, you got an idea.
"Hey, Maria?" She looked over at you, eyes half lidded.
"Yes?" You turned up the radio.
"Let's do a try not to sing along challenge. Whoever loses has to cook for lunch and dinner tomorrow." She smirked.
"You're on, puta."You knew it was going to be an easy win. The Filipina loved singing. She put up a fight though. The two of you were silent for at least twenty minutes, and you almost lost when a Melanie Martinez song came up and her narrowly missing an Eraserhead song.
