EMILY'S POV

"Because my water just broke."

How can she just say that like it's nothing? Like she doesn't have three babies pushing to see whose gonna be out first? Has she lost her mind? I mean, what the hell? I get up and rush to put the diaper bag into the car. It's a good thing we we're prepared. We have her overnight bag and mine already in the car. I run back up the steps and go get my girlfriend. I help her up and carefully down the stairs. We grab her purse, along with mine, and head to the hospital.

"Em, you can slow down a little?" She says as she looks at me and grabs my hand.

"Slow down? Ali, you're having triplets three weeks before they are due and you want me to slow down? We're lucky they liked it in there and didn't come sooner." I say

"Emily Fields, pull over." She says as she looks at me

"Wait what?" I ask as she lets go of my hand. What did she just ask me to do.

"I said, pull your ass over." She says, I do as I am told.

She leans over and kisses me. "You calm yet?"

I take a deep breath and start the car yet. She sits back into her seat.

"Wait, wait, wait. Kiss me again." I say and she just laughs and leans back over. "Okay, now I'm calm."

"Good, because this pain is just get- AHHH. Em, GO!" She says. Whoop. There goes my calmness. I take a shortcut to the hospital with my hand on Ali's knee the entire time. I pull up to the hospital and help her into the wheelchair.

"Got your purse?" I ask.

"Yea, let's just go." She says. As she cringes again in pain.

"Okay." I kiss her forehead before I push her inside.

"My girlfriend is having her babies." I say as I walk up to the desk.

"Yes, ma'am. We'll get you guys taken care of." She says as she signals for someone in the back to take her to the room.

A man leads us to 213, and helps Ali into the bed.

"Hey, Al. I'm going to run the car and get the bags. You gonna be okay?" I say.

"Yea, I'll be fine. I love you."

"I love you too." I say as I kiss her forehead and walk out.

When I get back in the room, Ali is alone. I open the door and I hear her jump. (The bead creeks, go with it!) "Hey, you okay?" I say as I set the bags on the chair.

"Yea, I'm good. You just scared me. Doctors say I have about thirty minutes before we going into the OR for the C-section." She tells me.

"Okay sweetheart. I'm just gonna use the restroom." I say as I walk into the little restroom.

I walk out of the bathroom and Ali is standing by the door. "Em, can we go on a walk?"

"Yea, come on." I say as I grab her hand with hand and put the other on her back.

We walk around the maternity ward a few times before a doctor comes up to us and tells us they are ready to get the babies out. We then walk back to the room. She gets on the bed and they wheel her out after I kiss her forehead. The nurse comes back in with a gown, shoe covers, gloves, and a cap for sanitation. "You can stand at the door. We'll come get you when we're ready."

"Okay, thank you." I say as she walks out of the room. About thirty minutes later and the same nurse from earlier comes and tells me they are ready to start.
