Chapter 16
Sleat Fross's POV
"Are you alright?" Someone spoke behind me. I sat down and lean on the wall of this brick hallway while watching the night sky with those colorful stars. The stars here are different from the stars that I used to watch every night in my world. It has different colors.
"The stars, they have different colors."
"Ah, yes. They're called Prostars." She answered then she sat beside me and lean on the wall too. Tilting her head, she made a ball of light and blew it away.
"What is that for?"
"This is our job when the night falls. We light the way and every houses in Xiavaria. It hasn't been too long when we started doing this." Then, I saw the others too doing what she did.
"Malefis, if you were me, will you accept your fate?" I asked and looked at her with my saddest eyes.
"Probably not, and of course yes."
"For what reason?"
"There is only one option for you to live. And that is, to stay here. So, why not? Just try it. You might found out later the real you. And you may also discover how you became one of us." She explained clearly. Then looked straight to my eyes. I can see what she wants to say.
Believe in yourself, everything is up to you.— that is what she is trying to say. I slowly bowed down my head.
"Mom, look at me. I am so strong now!" Said that little boy playing with those big rocks. He's lifting two huge rocks using his mind.
"Oh sure you are," A woman, looks like my age came over that child.
"Does that mean, that I can save Xiavaria? I badly want to bring the real Xiavaria back." The smile on his face slowly fade away and his lip was replaced with frown.
"It's okay, do you see that girl over there? She's the chosen. She might save us. She might also bring Xivaria back." That lady said towards the child while pointing at me.
What? I'll save Xiavaria? Oh wow, how coud she be so sure about that when I didn't accept their offer yet?
That little boy ran towards me, with a smile. He lifted his two arms and waved them in circle. "Here," He said after having a flower clip on his hand. "You're so pretty, to be the chosen. Please save us all, my lady." That little child placed the clip on my hair. He spoke like a pro, he acted like an adult.
"Do you believe I can do it?" I ask him. Then he nodded and smiled.
"Come on, Yuno. We must go." The lady came over that child and held him on his hand. That lady bowed down in front of me that made me feel uneasy.
"We'll be going, my lady." I was speechless. I don't even know what to say. Why are they respecting me too much? Wait, am I really going to do it?
"You can do it." Malefis uttered that cracked me of my trance. And gave me a meaningful look.
I sighed.
"Well, can we save my father first?" I said and saw her lips slowly shifted to a curved line facing up. She smiled.
