Phan Oneshots Bottom!Dan

Comfort

Even though Dan is always out to help everyone around him and constantly puts his well-being way behind everyone else's; sometimes Dan breaks down. Phil hates to see Dan on the nights where the stress and anxiety gets the better of him and he hates to see his love fall apart in heart breaking sobs. Seeing the person he would do anything for hurts him so much. And unfortunately today is one of those days.

Phil has sensed something was a bit off with Dan as he'd been so quiet all day but Dan had blamed it on being tired; and even though Phil could see right through him, he went along with it anyway. Phil just knew the signs of Dan's distress as he cared so much and they'd known each other for years.

So here Phil was on a rainy British evening, helplessly standing outside of the bathroom door with Dan locked inside. Phil was receiving no response to any attempt at conversation and he was beginning to get very anxious at what could be happening behind the door. He could hear heart wrenching sobs coming from his lover and he wanted nothing more than to be in there but the door was blocking his access.

Then the idea hit him like a ton of bricks, how could be have been so stupid and wasted so many minutes banging on the door? He could open this door from the outside! He hadn't told Dan that he'd removed the bolt for times like this as today wasn't the first, even when Dan had questioned he just said he feared the bolt jamming which Dan had just shrugged off. So as quickly as he could Phil began rummaging through his pockets for anything he could use to unlock the door. After a moment he pulled out a coin which he used to twist the lock open.

After the door had been swung open Phil scanned the room, frantically trying to find his baby. And the sight before him tore his heart to shreds. His eyes landed on his one and only love tucked up as far into the corner as humanly possible, resembling a puppy during a storm; his shoulders were shaking as he sobbed into his knees and sniffled. Obviously trying to be as quiet as he could but failing miserably.
"Danny, it's me baby," Phil whispered as reassurance. Dan looked up with red blood shot eyes and a blotchy face.
"Daddy?" Dan whimpered.
"Yes, daddy's here. Can I come over baby boy?" Phil asked to which he received a nod, what Phil had realised now is that not only was Dan distressed, he was also in headspace. Which in most ways made it a lot easier as Phil loved being his daddy and just comforting Dan as his boyfriend.

Phil cautiously made his way over to the little before him and crouched down to his level.
"Come on let's get you to bed and we can talk there, sound good little one?" Phil questioned. Dan nodded after a moment of thinking and lifted his arms indicating he wanted to be lifted. Phil smiled and picked up the very light male as Dan wrapped his legs around Phil's waist and stuffed his head into his neck. Phil smiled and kissed the top of his head and Dan's sniffling subsided mildly.

Once they were laying on the bed with Dan laying on Phil's stomach while Phil was stroking his hair, Phil decided to talk.
"Now, what's got you so bothered gorgeous?"
Dan avoided eye contact as he answered the question. "I'm usewess and nobody wikes me and you shouldn't wike me cause I'm siwwy," there was a pause where Phil was going to talk but then he was interrupted. "And I'm too chubby." Dan tried to speak properly but due to his upset and current headspace he was talking quite slurred and like a child. It angered Phil that his precious little Dan thought of himself this way but he stayed calm so he wouldn't scare his baby.
"And why would you ever think that?!" Phil asked obvious disbelief, in his tone.
Dan sighed and answered "cause of da comments." Phil's feels his blood run cold as he now knows that Dan has been believing stupid hate comments that he receives on his videos.

"Listen to me little one, those silly people that say nasty things to you obviously don't like themselves and want to take it out on you, please don't believe anything they are saying you're absolutely gorgeous and perfect." Phil prays that Dan believes him. Dan sits up on Phil's lap and places his hands on Phil's chest and through his teary eyes he somehow still manages a true smile.
"Thank you dada but dey wouldn't say it if it wasn't true cause you say dat lying is bad."
"Well I say that your very beautiful and adorable and smart and you're not chubby you're the perfect weight to cuddle up to and carry, and when has daddy ever lied to his baby boy?"
"Never cause you're the best daddy ever in the entiwe worlwd!" Dan exclaimed.
"Thank you little one now listen to me and don't believe anything those silly people say because they don't know anything, understand?" Phil said as he stroked his babies hair and he couldn't help but smile as he received a nod.

"Good now go and put your jammies on and we can cuddle and watch cartoons that okay baby boy?" Dan quickly nodded and scrambled to get changed.

And that night when Phil and his baby Dan were cuddled up in bed Phil clung onto his little on that bit tighter as to let him know he loved him lots and Phil loved how Dan snuggled in even closer.
