The Mystery of P: A World in Peril[On Hold]

Chapter 7

            It was lunch when I bumped into Alex. She looked sorry and almost left before I grabbed her arm.

"What do you want?" Alex asked.

"What is going on? Why aren’t you talking to me?" I asked looking at Alex. Was that a bruise on her face?

"I decided to stay with Brad, I am sorry." Alex said before leaving.

            Was Brad hitting her? Did he threaten her to stay away from me? Poor Alex, she got hurt because of me. That was the last thing I wanted. I saw Jeremy and sat with him. Jeremy had a huge grin on his face. I gave him a look, and he held up two tickets. I grabbed one and looked at it. I almost dropped it from shock when I saw what they were for. They were tickets to my favorite band, Black Veil Brides! I couldn’t believe it! The concert was this Saturday at a club in town.

"You can kiss my feet now." Jeremy joked.

"How the hell did you get these tickets? I thought they were sold out?"

"I did a favor, and got them. So you're in?"

"Duh! I love them! I can't wait!" I said with happiness.

"Glad to see you smile for once." Jeremy joked.

"Thanks, I owe you big time!"

"No need for that. But if you must, be happy. Love life, enjoy it." Jeremy said.

"Okay, well you have made me ecstatic! Thank you so much!" I said still holding the ticket with disbelief.

            This was such a gracious gift. I've never been to a concert before, or really had any fun before because of my father. I was so lucky to have a friend like Jeremy. He really did care about me didn’t he? I completely forgot about Alex for a while until Brad came into the cafeteria and started to make out with her. I tried to ignore it. Nothing was bringing me down now. I gave my ticket back to Jeremy to keep safe, I was too afraid I would lose it.

            I finally found Honesty and Esteem in the cafeteria with Otto, and told them what Fear warned me of. We left Otto the second Jeremy gave him the ticket. We went to find Courage, and then headed back to our home. Fear smiled as we walked up to him. He turned and started to walk to his room and we followed. Once inside most of the emotions were there. It felt so weird to be in a room with them all, but we found a place to sit.

"Hush! Now listen up!" Fear bellowed over the noise.

"Now that we have your attention, you have all been called here to talk of the rebellion. Yes, it is happening, it is not only Fear and I. All we are asking is for you to hear us out." Chaos said making sure we listened.

"Alright, the plan is to stop going to our jobs and rebel against Librius. He is not powerful enough to withstand all of us turning against him. Especially if the "negative" emotions are on our side. So who is with me?" Chaos roared.

            Some cheered others looked unsure. Chaos smiled to those who cheered, but looked to Fear to get the others to agree.

"We work all the time, with no breaks. We live to serve. It's pathetic; we are slaves to the human kind! Why not let them solve their own issues? We shouldn’t be saving them!" Fear yelled.
