Since the ages of 13 Ant and Dec had been inseparable. They spent everyday together after school they would play out, go to football together and cause trouble. They loved each other as friends, well that's what Dec thought anyway. Ant on the other hand was fighting a never ending battle with the demons inside. He loved Dec but he could never tell him, Dec was from an extremely religious family they would never accept it even if Dec ever felt the same. The years went by and as the boys hit puberty Ant found it unbelievably hard to control his feelings. He couldn't go a day without seeing Dec no matter how much it hurt him, he couldn't have him. As they grew older the boys started to drift apart slightly. They began to have different interests and wanted to do different things with their lives. Ant was always a keen cook and wanted to go on to have his own business, maybe a small cafe in town or a restaurant and Dec wanted to be an actor. He had always been the more confident one of the two and was never shy when someone asked him to preform. Eventually college arrived and Dec was accepted into an acting school in London. Ant went to a local college in Newcastle to learn more about cooking and the pair lost touch over time. Although Ant always had feeling for Dec he pushed them aside to concentrate on his career knowing Dec was never going to feel the same.

10 years later

The boys were now 26 and happy with their lives. Ant had just opened a bakery in the centre of Newcastle and it was doing well. He had met Lisa at college she was part of the hospitality class that worked closely with the guys in the kitchen and they got on really well. They ended up settling and having a baby girl who was now 7 years old. After college Dec had got into singing, he learned about his love for it when he was made to go to the lessons at college. He enjoyed it and was having fun travelling around the UK preforming small gigs with other small time singers. Both went about their lives forgetting about their childhood together and how close they were. Ant had pushed his feeling to the back of his mind now he had Lisa, Dec was a thing of the past just a teenage crush - he tried telling himself but deep down he knew he was just kidding himself.

It was a Saturday afternoon and Ant and Lisa were walking through Newcastle with their daughter, Lucy. "Daddy can we go over there?" She said pointing the small stage in the field ahead. There was a small gathering of people and someone on stage singing. They didn't sound to bad so Ant agreed and the family walked over to listen. It wasn't until they got closer that Ant could see who was on the stage. And in that moment it felt like the air had been punched out of Ant, the colour drained from his face and his breathing became quicker. "Anth babe...are you alright?" Lisa could feel Ants hand get sweaty in hers and turned to looked at her partner. "Yeah...I'm fine just need a drink" he smiled and let go of Lisa's hand and went of in search of a drink. He stumbled across a stand next to the stage and bought himself some water, taking a sip hoping he would calm down. "It can't be him....he moved away...stop being stupid Ant! It's not" he thought to himself. His breathing became quicker and he started to panic. Feeling a gentle hand touch his shoulder Ant jumped and turned around. "Sorry mate are you alright?" The small figure in front of him asked. "Shit! It's him...fuck!" Ants voice screamed inside of him. His eyes wide and sweat forming on his forehead. "Do I know you?" The gentleman in front of his asked. "No! No you don't sorry i have to go" Ants voice shaking as he turned to run. "Anth?" The smaller man shouted after him. "Anthony?" He said again as he followed him. "Stop a minute man!" This made Ant stop. His brain working overtime trying to control all the emotions that took over his body in that moment. He was stood there with the love of his life looking more attractive as ever. He couldn't do this, he had Lisa and Lucy now he couldn't have feelings for Declan. "Sorry mate i have to go" Ant tried to get away. "Ant its me Declan what's the matter?" He looked concerned for his friend. He hadn't seen him for nearly 10 years but he still looked the same and just a handsome as he did all the those years ago when he first fell in love with him.
