Reconnected

Part 3 - End

A really short part to finish the story. Hope you like it!

"I'm sorry Declan I should have told you" Ant spoke quietly the two men had been sat. In silence for the past 10 minutes in shock of what they had just said and done. "I was just scared of what your family would think" he carried on. "Ant I should have told you, I ran away to London because I was scared of my feelings I didn't want to hurt you" Dec interrupted. "I have to go I need to do something" Ant got up and pulled on his clothes that where scattered around the room. He ran out the house and drove back to his. Leaving Dec alone and scared about what was going to happen next. He opened the door and was confronted by Lisa stood in the hallway. "Where have you been?" She looked angry. "Umm I..." he stuttered he wasn't prepared for this. "Save it Ant i'm not stupid, ever since you saw him the other day you've been distant with me...and now you come home still wearing yesterdays clothes" she stared to shout. Lisa knew about Dec since they had met, Ant told her about him when they were dating because he was comfortable talking to her about him. He had a few old pictures of the two that were stored away in the attic Lisa had seen them before but he didn't know Lisa had would have recognised him the other day. "You're a pig Anthony! How could you do this to me? To your daughter!" She started to cry, she couldn't believe the only man she had ever loved was in love was a man. "Lisa I'm sorry...nothing happened" he looked at the floor and it was clear he was lying. "Don't lie to me Ant I can see it in your eyes" she cried and grabbed the bag next to her.

5 years later

Ant and Dec decided to have a go at a relationship after Lisa left him that morning. She walked out on him and Lucy and never looked back meaning Ant was left to bring her up alone. But Dec let her into his life knowing how much it meant to Ant for them to become a family. It was strange feeling for Dec he had always been alone in life never having a partner because of his feelings for Ant. Now he was living with the love of is life and his daughter. He gave up singing wanting to concentrate on building a life with Ant, he went back to studying and became a drama teacher at the local secondary school where Lucy who was now 12 also attended. To anyone else hey were like a normal happy family who loved one another. Which was true Dec loved Lucy as if she was his own and they got on really well and Ant loved Dec with all of him. He had a hard time trying to forgive himself over Lisa but over time it got easier and he began to believe what he did was right and that reconnecting with Dec was the best thing he ever did.
