My heart crept slowly up into my throat again as I stood behind Hunter while he quickly unlocked his door and held it open for me to pass.
"Woah," A guy's voice called out. "What the hell happened to the two of you? Did you walk here?"
Hunter walked in behind me, laughing as he put his hand on the small of my back and led me into the living room. "Nah, but it sure as hell felt like we did." He told the guy who was sitting in the floor with two other guys around the coffee table playing some kind of game. Hunter smiled down at me. "Kit, this is Josh, my roommate," He said pointing at the first guy with a bit of a beer gut and long brown hair that touched the tops of his shoulders. "and his friends Lucas and Aaron. "
Lucas was lanky, with a buzz cut and pierced lip, while Aaron was thin, but muscular with a head full of perfectly styled black hair. "Hey," He waved at me, his smile warm. "Kit? That's a cool name."
I walked over a little closer to look at what game they were playing. "My name is actually Tayler, but your friend over there can't ever remember that." I smiled and Aaron winked.
"Yeah, I'm sure ole' Quaid does have that problem." He laughed and Hunter rolled his eyes.
"Come on, Kit, let's get you cleaned up."
I followed Hunter into the back bedroom and I was surprised at how big it was. His walls were painted a dark gold and he had a nice reading lamp on his bedside table that made the room look warm and cozy. His bed was made and his closet was impeccably organized for a guy. I felt a little awkward in his bedroom, but he didn't act like anything was weird as he went to his dresser, pulled open the top drawer, and grabbed out a pair of checkered red and gold boxers and tossed them at me, then opened the third drawer and pulled out a long sleeved white t-shirt.
"Give me your wet clothes and I'll toss them in the dryer for you." He said when he handed me the shirt. I swallowed loudly and Hunter's face split around a huge smile. "You should see your face right now." He laughed. "Go change in my bathroom." He pointed to the door on the other side of the room and he shook his head as he went over to the closet and pulled out clothes for himself, not waiting until I was in the bathroom before he started to take off his shirt.
I peeled my eyes away from his sculpted back and ducked into the bathroom, closing the door and flipping on the lights. "Oh my god." I groaned when I looked in the mirror.
"Yeah," Hunter yelled from the other side of the door. "You look a little like a wet rat." He laughed.
"Oh my god." I repeated again, shaking my wet head.
My hair was matted down to my head and my eyeliner was smeared down my face making me look more like a raccoon than a rat, but either way, I looked crazy. My clothes were sticking tighter to my body than I'd realized earlier and I rolled my eyes at myself for walking into a room full of guys looking like this.
I stripped off my pants and shoes, dropping them in a pile at my feet and I peeled my shirt off over my head. I looked at myself in the mirror again in my underwear and thought how strange of a day this has been. I'd met this guy this afternoon, and I'm already standing in his bathroom practically naked.
Hunter knocked twice on the door, making me jump. "Come on, I'm going to throw your stuff in with mine." He called. "What's taking so long?"
I rolled my eyes as I scooped up my clothes from the floor and I opened the door just a crack to pass them out to him, flipping him the bird as I did. He started to flip it back at me, but his eyes drifted behind me and I realized the angle of the mirror in the bathroom made it where he could totally see me standing here in my black bra and panties. I felt my face go red again and my body was covered in chills.
