Chapter 27

They had an annual event today and Jungkook came with Jimin. Jihyun was so excited to see Jungkook but then again, Mingyu was next to her and made her remember that she's forbidden to love Jungkook, what's more of dating him and cheating on her finace. Hah. She wish they could dance on the dance floor together, she wish they can kiss, she wish he can hold her in the street because in her heart, she's his.

" Hey, you okay?" Mingyu asked, bringing Jihyun out to reality.

" Yes. I'm fine." She said and he just nodded.

After a few more minutes, she excused myself to the comfort room to touch up some things. Right after she walked out, she was pulled and into a room. The door closed and the person face me.

" Hey gorgeous." She laughed as the person spoke.

" Hello handsome." He pecked her lips but a peck turns into a kiss.

They broke the kiss, both of them grinning like idiots.

" Are you enjoying the event?" She asked a stupid question.

" No. It's boring as hell." He exclaimed.

" I know right." She said and the two of us just stares at each other. " I think I should go. Mingyu might look for me." She said, caressing his nape.

He sighed and nodded then looked at her.

" Go ahead. See you when I see you." Jungkook said, pecking her nose then left the room and a few minutes later, Jihyun then walked out from the room.

Some people were curious about Jungkook. Who was he? Why is he here? Why does he look familiar? Things like that. One did even asked Jungkook face to face.

" Oh. I'm Prince Jimin's personal assistant." Was his answer and Jimin would tease him by making him do unnecessary things. Well, when can Jimin tease him once he becomes a king right?

Once the annual event has ended, Jimin and Jungkook went to their new apartment and when they entered the apartment, Jimin's father was there.

" Oh. Hello appa. What brings you here?" Jimin asked, sitting on the couch along with Jungkook.

" Hello, boys. How was the event?" He asked, putting down his mug of coffee.

" It was boring but I have to get use to it." Jungkook groaned.

" Good. I feel you. But for now, it's about Jungkook. You will have to claim the throne on your birthday." He said and Jungkook's eyes widen.

" What? But my birthday is next week! Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Jungkook panicked.

" I just had the meeting with the councils and they told me the king is not faring well right now. Especially with you turning 21. It's the best day you could claim your throne and Jihyun's wedding will be on the 11th September Jungkook. If you don't claim earlier, you might not have enough time to stop the wedding and we're so close of finding your father's murderer."

" Once we announced you're the king and about your father, people will be on your side and support you. All of them loves your father Jungkook it's just he ran away in a rush without listening to your grandfather. Everyone was approving your parents but they ran away. We did looked for him but we were too late. When we finally knows where he lives, he was gone." Jungkook was speechless, tears were flooding his eyes.

" Why didn't you tell me sooner? Why didn't you tell me when I was in Busan? I was there for 3 long years and you didn't even care to tell me?"

" I wanted to tell you but you have to understand. I wasn't ready to tell you. I was afraid that you might not focus on your training so I waited to tell you after you finished your training." He explained. " I'm sorry, Jungkook but it's for your own good."

Jungkook was tossing and turning on the bed, thinking about what Jimin's father just told him.

" your grandfather approved to your parents."

Does that mean, if his father didn't ran away, he would live as a Prince right from the beginning? But what makes his father ran away without thinking? What makes his father ran away in a rush? There must be a reason behind all of this.

Jungkook has been busy with his studies with Jimin helping him. He was so stress and nervous. The day of him claiming the throne is in 4 days time and he's been missing Jihyun so much now. He wants to see her so bad but he knows that Jimin wouldn't allow him.

Jihyun had been wondering about Jungkook. Where is he? Why he hasn't call her or text her? She was worried about him and she miss him.

" Jihyun, you okay?" Mingyu asked, they were currently talking about their wedding.

" I'm fine." Mingyu frowned. " What?"

" Jihyun, please stop thinking about someone else."

" I'm not. Let's just choose the colour theme." Jihyun tried to change the topic.

" Why him? Why not me?" He suddenly questioned. She looked at him, confuse.

" Him, who?" After she think about it again, him was meant for Jungkook. " Oh."

" Am I not enough? No. Am I not good enough?"

" Mingyu, it's not the right time to talk about this okay." She said, trying to ignore him.

" No!" He suddenly yelled. " I will not be quiet now. Not when you're cheating on me."

" Since when did I cheated on you?"

" Since the day he has come back! I gave you everything, Jihyun and I thought you loved me but when he came back, you cheated on me with him. What's so good about him?! He's just a commoner!" Jihyun slapped him.

" You have no right to say that about Jungkook. He was the only one who loved me for who I am, not because of my title." Jihyun exclaimed.

Mingyu scoffed and tightened his jaw.

" I can't believe that I actually thought that you've fallen in love with me. All the laughs and smiles we had together were all fake. I don't know what I did to deserve this kind of life. I followed all of the goddamn rules  but this is what I get?" Mingyu huffed. " But no matter what, you'll have to forget about him eventually. It's no use for you to still be in love with him."

" I don't care. I will cherish every moment I have left with him. You don't have to be scared because after we're married, I'm all yours." Jihyun said, not wanting to said she belongs to somewhere else except Jungkook but what can she do?

" Good that you know. I'm letting you see him all you want. After we're married, you're mine.. Forever." Mingyu stated as he cupped her jaws to make her looked up to him. She gulped then looked away.

Suddenly, they heard chaos outside the shop. Jihyun stood up and walked out from the shop only to see a lot of people were standing in front the big screen to see the new news. Jihyun looked at the screen, only to gasped in shock.

" The late King Jeon Jungmin was revealed to have an heir and is now being trained to take over the throne on this year 1st September. Everyone is welcome to come to the palace along with an invitation card, given by the government soon. Please anticipate for the coronation day for the real heir to the throne. Thank you. "

" Holy shit. It can't be." Mingyu mumbled but loud enough for Jihyun to hear. " Who can be the heir? Is he someone we know?" Mingyu asked. " How can this even happen?"

" I don't know but we might do." Jihyun answered, not knowing how react towards the news.
