This is my last year of college. Once I complete this year I will have my bachelor's in Forensic Psychology.

I got out of my last class of the day and exited the old red brick building to put my bookbag into my car. I can't believe this is my final year of college. It's hard to not feel nostalgic looking at the freshmen walking to the campus dining hall. I remember when I was just starting out and everything seemed so exciting.

I drove to the upperclassmen dorms located down the road from the college and went inside. I arrived at my room on the first floor but realized that neither of my roommates were at home yet.

I grabbed some workout clothes and my yoga matt from the light brown dresser beside my bed.

I normally work out after my classes and then take a shower. Then if my friends want to go out then we do or sometimes I stay in and work with Aurora, my roommate, on my homework and study.

I got out onto one of the grassy areas near my apartment building and began doing my normal workout routine of sit-ups, push-ups, and just other exercises. When I finished I put my yoga matt away inside the apartment. I have a couple of small handheld weights that I use for a little while. After that, I walked outside towards the forest for my usual run.

I put my headphones in and began listening to music as I ran through the trail. The trail ends when you arrive at the beach and then I turn around and run back. I enjoyed the colors of the forest and reaching the beach always felt like a success. I would take my time to stare out over the water and catch my breath. I would run out to the water when I was stressed and it always cleared my mind.

I was in the middle of the trail on the way back to campus when I thought I heard a growl and took my headphones out. I came to a stop and looked around before deciding that it was probably a dog.

I started to run again and heard the growl louder. I stopped again and turned around to see a dirty patchy brown wolf with red eyes. I gasped and backed up a few steps before I turned to run only to see another wolf.

This wolf was beautiful and was staring at me before the wolf behind me growled. I turned back and saw as it ran at me. I screamed and went running as a blur of black passed me. I looked to see the two wolves fighting but then I took off towards campus. I don't think I've ever run so fast. I could hear the sounds of fighting as I ran away. Eventually, I reached the end of the trail and stopped. I looked back and listened but I couldn't hear anything.

I leaned against a tree to catch my breath. As I looked out at the forest the black wolf from earlier jogged into my line of sight further down the trail. It stopped as it saw me and I felt my eyes widen. I stepped behind the tree I was leaning on to be out of the wolf's line of sight even though it already saw me. I began to walk/jog back to campus, terrified that if I moved too quickly it would come after me.

I ran up to my dorm and caught my breath. I couldn't believe the experience. It took me a minute to calm down and process that I was safe. I went straight to the shower, hoping that it would calm my racing heart.

As I was getting dressed, I realized I didn't have my phone but now that I think about it, it wasn't in my hand when I left the woods. It must have fallen and I didn't realize it because I was so flustered. It's too dark for me to go out there now especially knowing that it has wolves.

I completed my homework and waited for my friends to arrive from wherever they are. I watched a movie on Netflix and eventually Aurora came in.

"Hey," she said putting her bookbag on her bed and then collapsing into her pillow.

"Hey, where have you been?" I asked her.

"I was at the library," she said. Aurora is the bookworm of the group. She studies hard, is very intelligent, and is always willing to tutor me when I need it.

"Do you know where Jerikah is?"

"Um I think she is meeting with some friends," Aurora said.

"Oh okay, I was just wondering."

"How is everything with you?" She asked me.

"Well my routine was the same today as it is every other day but as I was running through the woods there was a wolf with red eyes. I turned to run and there was a black wolf with beautiful blue eyes. The wolves began fighting and I ran back to campus but I saw the black wolf again as I reached the end of the trail but I just ran here. Plus I dropped my phone in the woods somewhere so I'm going to need to go find it tomorrow" I said.

Aurora didn't say anything. She just looked shocked. "Oh my gosh, are you serious? Well of course you're serious. You wouldn't make this up. Well um, how big was this black wolf?" She finally asked me.

"It was taller than me," I said shuddering from the memory of almost dying.

"I'm glad you're okay. I can't imagine what that must have felt like. I'm sorry you had to experience that," she said looking like she wasn't really thinking about our conversation but almost as if her eyes were glazed over before snapping back into it a few minutes later.

"Are you okay?" I asked her concerned.

"Yeah I was just thinking," she said laughing.

"Okay, I think I'm just gonna go to sleep. The day was way more eventful than I planned." I said looking at the clock and seeing it was about 10:30 pm.

"Alright goodnight," Aurora said before grabbing her stuff so she could go take a shower.
