Chapter 3 - Perfect Day

Chapter 3

NESSIE'S P.O.V.

Let's go to our place, for some alone time", Jake said.

"I want to thank my parents first for doing that for us", I replied.

He agreed and we headed towards them, and we started thanking them.

"Dad, mum, can Jake and I go for a walk in the woods?" I asked.

"Sure, but Jake you have to keep her out of danger, go it?" Dad said sternly.

"Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to her", he replied, as he smiled.

"Now off you go", Mum said, smiling at me.

Jake wrapped his hand around my waist and I laid my head on his shoulder, as we started walking to our place. When we arrived , we sat down in the valley of flowers near the waterfall.

"I'm so happy we're together now", I said, breaking the silence between us.

"Me too", he replied.

"But I can't ignore this bad feeling I have about that guy, Alex. I feel like he's......different", I said, as I turned to look at the waterfall.

"Don't worry about that now, Nes, all that matters is that we're together now......alone", Jake said, as he leaned in to kiss me, and I kissed him back.

It felt like the kiss was gonna last forever, but then I remembered I had to go hunt, because I haven't eaten/hunted all day, except for this morning when I woke up, I had toast and scrambled eggs.

I pulled away from the kiss and told Jake that I needed to hunt.

"Ok Nes, but I'll come with you", he said.

We walked further into the forest, far from our place. Then I smelled a bear, I snuck behind a huge rock and jumped onto the bear's back, and I sunk my teeth into its neck, sucking the life out of it. I heard Jake coming up towards me, since he didn't want to disturb me enjoying my meal.

"We should head back now, your parents might be worried by now", Jake said.

"Ok. Race ya to the main house!", I said.

"Let me just phase into a wolf first", he said as he phased.

"Go!"

We raced to Grandpa Carlisle's house.

"I win!", I told Jake, smiling.

"You got lucky this time, but I'll win in the next race", he said trying not to admit that I won.

----------------30mins later---------------

JAKE'S P.O.V.

The sun was setting, and Nessie and I decided that we should go visit the pack. I was waiting for her to get dressed, then Alice insisted that I needed to change as well.

A few minutes after I got dressed, I waited in front of door for her,then I saw her coming down the stairs. She looked AMAZING! She wore a purple dress that came up to her knees, she had her hair out, letting it flow down her back, up to her waist, and she was wearing black, sparkling flats.

"You look......amazing", I managed to say.

"Thanks, you too", she said in her soft voice, which always made me smile.

I took her hand, and led her to my car, and we drove to Sam's house. While we were driving, Nessie and I were talking about her birthday; which was 2 weeks away. I didn't tell her what I was planning to give her on her birthday.

"So, Jake, what are you gonna get me?", she asked.

"You'll see", I replied.

"Please tell me! At least give me a hint."

"It's a surprise, and it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you, Nessie"

"Ok, fine, guess I'll have to wait and see", she replied.

We drove in silence for the next few minutes, and we finally arrived at Sam's house. I took Nessie's hand, as she got out if the car. We walked inside, and saw that the pack was sitting in the living room talking, laughing and watching something on TV. As we walked in the room, they all greeted us with a "hey", "hi" or "what's up". Then we sat down, and joined in with their conversation. Then the boys and I decided to go outside to talk, and leave the girls to catch up on each other.

Later on, Emily and Leah were preparing some food for us to eat. After about 15-20mins they told us that the food was ready, we had some pasta with a few herbs and some sauce. The boys and I were wolfing it down like we always do, while the girls took it a bit slower. After dinner, we all decided to watch a movie.

"What movie should we watch", Seth asked.

"I'm not sure", I replied, and so did Nessie. Then we decided we should just watch some football on TV.

------------------1hr later------------------

NESSIE'S P.O.V.

It was about 11pm and I decided to tell Jake that it was time for me to get back home, before my family started worrying about me. So, we told everyone "good night", and drove back to my parents cottage. While we were driving I fell asleep. After a while I felt that I was being carried by Jake, into the cottage, onto my bed. I opened my eyes a little bit and said

"Don't leave Jake"

"Ok, I won't", he replied quietly, as lay down next to me, and kissed my cheek.
