I twirled the note around in my hands, putting my fist to my mouth in thought. My phone was on the table beside me on the bed and I hesitated on whether to call the number that was on the note or not.
I decided to just go with my brain and dialed the number, my heart starting to beat faster in fright.
"Hello?" Came the woman's voice like I'd heard the night before I was admitted in the hospital.
"Hey, it's me Rihanna." I said warily.
"Oh my god, are you alright!?" "Last time after you called the phone sounded like it fell and someone screamed your name." She answered, her voice rising a little.
"Um yeah, I just fell." "But I wanted to ask you some questions." I said.
"Of course! Do you want to meet up? I'll see if I'm nearby and maybe we can catch up Rihanna!" She said, and I could hear the smile in her voice.
"Yeah, that would be great, I'm in Beverly Hills, CA." I said, hoping she was nearby as well.
"You're still in our hometown? Wow! I haven't been there in ages." She said, "But it's a good thing that I'm coming back soon!"
Oh, the irony.
"Oh, sounds good, just text me when we can meet and I'll see what I can do." I smiled, I was going to get some real answers now without having to give myself migraines.

Home sweet home.
I smelled the gingerbread cookies the moment I walked in through the front door.
"Surprise!"
I jumped almost three feet high.
My family, and my friends jumped out from behind the couches, and other places in the room, throwing confetti everywhere.
I laughed, looking around and spotting almost everyone I knew inside of my house.
"Why did you have to throw me a surprise party! I would've put on a better dress." I laughed, hugging my mother who came up to me with a plate of cookies in her hand.
Everyone looked so happy, their smiles were contagious.
My mom fed me a cookie and I walked into the room, trying not to drop crumbs everywhere.
"Oh, it's not a surprise party for you, it's a Christmas Eve party, but we wanted to surprise you too!" Charles laughed, coming up besides me and putting his hand around my shoulder.
I rolled my eyes, "You just wish you could have a surprise party."
He frowned, "I do actually."
