"You're beautiful." He said, handing me a single red rose.
"Um, thanks?" I answered, questioning why I had even tried to find a nice outfit today when all it would do was make my life harder.
The boy walked away, his cheeks red.
Wow it was only the first day of senior year, and guys were already begging for my attention.
"Honestly I don't even know why you bother wearing clothes at all Ri, give them something to look at." Loran, my best friend since age five said.
"I'm not going to walk around naked, Lo." I laughed, walking towards my English class.
"But you should definitely consider it." Loran winked, walking in to her class, which was right next to mine.
I shook my head, but laughed anyways, and walked into English. The moment I walked in, everyone turned at looked at me.
Honestly, they'd been seeing me for four damn years, you'd think they would be used to me walking into a classroom by now.
But the moment I walked into any classroom, it was like fucking Madonna had walked in or something. Loran used to say that girls would die to be in my position but I begged to differ.
I didn't like how they treated me like a goddess, when I hadn't even done anything exceptional. I didn't understand what could make me different than the rest of them.
It wasn't even like the rest of this school was ugly. There were plenty of gorgeous girls here, but people looked at me like I was the only one. The moment I stepped foot into this school, it was like a switch had clicked, and everyone else had turned into ugly ogres or something. I hated it.
But I held my head high and pretended I was all that anyways, thinking maybe someone would like me for who I am and not for how I looked. But you got to do what you got to do I guess.
So I smiled and walked to the front of the class and sat down next to this girl wearing all black. Somehow I had never seen her before.
"Hey, I'm Rihanna." I said, twisting in my seat to face her.
She didn't say anything. I frowned.
"Are you new here? I haven't seen you around before." I asked her, trying to get her to at least look at me.
I don't know if she didn't care or she chose to ignore me but it was odd. I shrugged and waited for our teacher to come into the classroom.
A tall, sort of buff dude walks into class a moment later. And it turns out he's our teacher, a retired army general is going to teach our English class. Can my day get any better?
"I'm Mr.Deli, your English teacher for this year, and I hope we will all get along well. Anyways, I'm sure all of you already know each other so I'm just going to get on with it." He said, not even smiling throughout.
