I walk along the sandy beach
And listen to the ocean's song
Feel the sand
Stick in between my bare toes
As the cool water washes over them.
I listen to the waves
Crash onto shore
The water reaching for my knees.
And the palm trees
Whispering in the wind
And the seagulls far off
Telling you their life story
As they fly away.
I smell the salt
In the water and the air around me
And taste it on my tongue.
As I walk along the shore
I look out to see the dolphins playing
And the sun setting
With beautiful rays of colour
Dancing off the waves.
