I get off the train and head for the indoor part of the enormous station. I should find Mike somewhere there.
I diall his number, but he doesn't answer his phone, as usual.
Suddenly, someone bumps into me from behind, making me drop my phone.
"I'm so sorry!" a tall guy says in a voice I swear I've heard before. I must have seen him before too, but I can't recall where... "I really hope you're okay, I should've looked where I was going."
I pick up my phone quickly.
"I'm good, thank you," I reply. "Even my phone came out unscathed."
The guy stares at the device in my hand.
"I had no idea this phone model is still available," he mutters.
"Excuse me, what do you mean?" I ask, confused.
"Ah, nothing, really... It's just that your phone reminds me of a happy time in my life," he explains, blushing slightly.
My phone resembles the very one which belonged to BTR's series' protagonist named Logan Mitchell...
Wait!
Is it possible?!
It seems so...
He looks like...
"James David Maslow?" I ask him. "Sorry for my being this straightforward."
"Yes, it's me," James chuckles softly. "Didn't know I'm famous in Poland."
"Not this famous," I tell him. "There aren't many Rushers in here."
"Oh, I'll have a rest from loud fans then," he winks, smiling.
"Sorry I haven't even introduced myself. My name's Agnes, but I prefer being called Nessie," I say while extending my hand.
"No, no, no," he chuckles again. "You know my full name, may I get yours?"
"Okay," I sigh. "Agnes Lovesea Henderson."
"Glad to meet you," he says while shaking my hand. "Your English is perfect, are you not Polish?"
"I've two nationalities, Polish and American," I tell him.
"Born in America?" James asks me.
"Yep," I say. "Precisely, Dallas, Texas. There's an amusing fact about it."
Why do I blurt out random things like that?
"What is it?" he seems curious.
"I was born when my parents went to see my dad's younger brother during summer. He, my aunt and their two sons still live there," I explain. "I spent the first year of my life in LA, California, then my parents decided to move here."
"You've a unique, beautiful middle name," James says, smiling.
"That's what you get for being born on the International Lighthouse Day," I say, chuckling.
"When is it?" James asks, frowning.
"On August 21st," I say shyly.
"So it's today! Happy Bday, Nessie," he hugs me.
"Thanks," I say.
My phone rings.
"Mike?" I answer. "Where are you? Ok, I'm coming."
I face James.
"Sorry, gotta catch my mate in Bielsko-Biała, gotta go."
"Really?" James questions. "Cause I'm going there as well," he says, showing me his ticket.
We go together and get our train to Bielsko.
Always knew it was gonna be a special day... But this special? Never expected this, not even in my wildest dreams...
