Alexander James P. O. V

I sigh in frustration as I look from my phone then back to Nora who's asleep on the bed.

It's seven in the morning and I have an emergency at work.

Should I wake her up?

Nah she gets too 'feisty' so early in the morning.

I groan audibly once more as I stand up and put my suit jacket on, side stepping that damn dog that always gets in the way.

I swear it hates me.

As if to prove me right, she growls at me and nearly snaps my foot off as I go past her and over to Nora's side of the bed.

"Hey baby." I whisper softly as I shake my angel awake.

"Baby, love wake up." I say as I stroke her chin.

"Baby!" I nearly shout while I shake my angel once more.

Nora shoots up in the bed with an evil glint in her eyes as she glares at me, hair scattered in multiple directions as a scowl makes it way onto her face.

I gulp slowly as I take a step back.

My angel isn't such an angel at this hour.

"What?" She snaps in a rough voice.

"Um hey baby, good morning." I say smiling as I take a step forward but then quickly step away once more as her scowl deepens.

"I'm going to the office, there's an emergency. Do you want me to call Stella or Abby or someone to look after you while I'm gone?" I question out hesitantly.

Nora scoffs out loud and narrows her eyes at me before she throws herself into the pillow once more, completely ignoring me.

"Well bye then, love you." I call out as I head for the door, briefcase in hand.

I don't even need to turn around to know she's stuck her middle finger out at me.

"Here are the files you wanted on that merger agreement Sir."

Looking up at Mellisa, I thank her as I take the file from her hands and then send her on her way.

Halfway through checking if everything in the file is up to scale, my phone starts ringing.

"Alexander James." I say.

"Mr Alexander, a man called George says he needs to speak with you, urgently."

George?

Where the hell had I heard that name before.

I have no intention of letting him in but for some reason that doesn't sit too well with me.

I know for a fact, I've heard a George before somewhere.

"Uh yeah sure Mellisa, let him in." I murmur into the phone, snapping out of my thoughts.

"Are you sure sir?" Mellisa asks hesitantly.

Hell Im not sure myself.

"Yes, let him in."

A silence ensues around the office as I patiently wait for this George to come in.

A minute or two pass but finally I can see the handle of the door turning and then finally swinging open.

A man looking around my age walks in with blonde hair and green eyes.
