Chapter Four

I sat in my class as I only half listened to Mr. John teach us the property of matter. Sure I needed the grade, but it was something I had already heard a million times. Instead I thought about what I was going to do this weekend. Alex and Coedith were planning on heading out there Friday night. We had more than half of all our senior friends going. It was ganna be one sick party.

I told the guys I was in, but they would have to wait until Saturday for me to get there since I had plans Friday night. They all looked a tad confused, and asked what I was up too. But I just shook my head and said, “I’m just ganna be busy alright?” They just shrugged it off and then I went over to Renee’

After the bell rang and I was heading to my next class, a dude bumped into me making me drop the books I was stuck carrying. “Watch it.” he said; his voice dripping with attitude. I turned towards him and said, “Uh, why don’t you watch it? You ran into me.”

The punk stopped dead in his tracks and turned to face me. He had dark brown eyes and black hair that stopped about the middle of his neck. His skin had a tan to it and he looked in shape. He wore faded dark blue jeans, and a t-shirt that had some kind of logo on it. I couldn’t read it because it was in Japanese and his jacket was zipped up some so you couldn’t see it. His scent indulged my senses and my wolf instantly wanted to rip him to shreds.

‘Intruder!’ my wolf practically howled. This was no ordinary punk, he was another werewolf. And this was not where he belonged. This was my pack’s turf, and he was not allowed here. I could sense his muscles tense up as he realized who and what I was.

My books forgotten, I stalked towards him. But he didn’t back down, he just stood there holding his ground; accepting the challenge.

Our wolves were practically spitting at one another with disgust. I wanted to show him just what I could do, and the punishment I should give him for coming into our territory. I was practically in his face when I spat softly so the people around didn’t hear me say, “What the hell are you doing in our territory you mutt?”

His throat rumbled softly in a low growl. “I am no mutt,” he replied. “And I am allowed to be here just as you are.”

I snorted then said, “Yea right. Unless my dad brought in a mutt from another pack and just didn’t tell us, then this not your land. Ergo, you do not belong here and are not allowed by Werewolf Rules to stay here.” I growled at that last part as a small smile creased my lips.

“I have no other pack!” he said softly.

I growled softly taking in more of his scent. He had a pack scent on him, but it was very faint and barely there. It was the scent of the Pack just North of us. We almost always had problems with them.
