Chapter Six

I never thought it would come, but it finally did; the weekend! I was so excited that Friday was finally here! Tonight Logan and I were going to see a movie. But I was also wondering what had happened to him. He hadn’t been at school for the rest of that week.

I was growing curious because he also hadn’t texted me or anything. I was starting to think that this whole me and him dating really was a joke. So I tried not to think about it too much.

So, I told Danielle that we could start the slumber party early; a whole night early.

Iris was excited too, because Danielle had said that she could come over to her house as well, and she could sleep with her little brother in his room.

Danielle’s brother was only five years old. His name was Scott, and even though Danielle would always say how annoying he was, we knew that if anyone were to mess with him, she would defend her brother to the ends of the earth.

Scott had light brown hair and blue eyes. He almost is always getting in mischief. He likes to blame some things on his sister, and her mom is always making Danielle clean up his messes.

Plus, me and Nick were become really good friends. We were finding out that we had a lot in common, and he was almost always making me laugh. It felt good to finally be able to laugh again, and to feel like everything was going okay.

Even Drake and Kyle were becoming good friends with him. They were almost always hanging out now. And I was just glad that we could give him a group of people to call his friends.

“You okay?” Danielle asked me. I nodded and said, “Yea, I’m just lost in thought about tonight is all.” She laughed then said, “You better be ready, because we are going to have a blast! Just like we use too.”

I laughed then wrapped my arm around her neck as she wrapped hers around mine and we continued to walk to Iris’s classroom.

School was over and now Danielle, Rebecca, and I were all headed to pick up Iris. Iris and I had packed up our stuff to come over to Danielle’s this morning. Iris was so excited, that she packed her favorite toys to play with.

Rebecca looked lost in thought, so I looked over at her on Danielle’s other side and asked, “You okay Rebecca?”

She looked up at me, then smiled as she saw me and Danielle’s arms wrapped around each other and wrapped her arm around Danielle’s neck as well, making Danielle wrap her other arm around Rebecca.

Rebecca laughed then said, “I’m perfect. I’ve got both my friends back!”
