"Len? Len! Len!! Wake up!!" Someone screamed, shaking me.

I jolted up, with something wet on my face. Water..? Was I...crying?

"Len, are you...are you okay? You look like you just had a nightmare..." Rin said, wiping my tears with a handkerchief he had in his pocket.

"They cancelled school today. We're probably the only ones that didn't get the message," Rin informed me, as I stood up and wiped the rest of my tears away with my sleeve.

"Why? Is it because of the weather?" I asked. He nodded and I looked outside at the heavy rainfall. The sky was almost pitch black.

"Ehh, Rin, I think it would actually be safer if we had stayed here rather than walk back home..." I said, still looking outside.

"I thought so, too. There were a few students here earlier but they left," he said, wiping the tears from the table.

"Uhh, you don't have to--"

"I want to. You know, you need at least one friend in your life, right? It doesn't really matter who, you just need one," he said, pulling me up into a hug.

"Ehhhhhhhhhhhh, Rin, this is weird..!" I said. He only hugged me tighter.

"I'll be your friend, Len. I'll be there for you."

I stood, frozen in place. It was the first time someone had said that to me. Absent mindedly, I brought my arms around him and brought him closer, snuggling into the crook of his neck. He seemed a little stunned, but smiled all the same.

Finally letting go, he smiled.

"Hey, why don't we go raid the cafeteria? All that food made this morning worth nobody to eat them! That's sad," Rin said, enthusiastically. He was bubbling with excitement.

I laughed and agreed.

Walking down a long hall, I shuffled slowly beside Rin. He had a hint of a smile on his face. I was feeling cold, and my fists were balled.

Suddenly, a hand reached down and slowly touched mine, slipping its fingers through my fist, and suddenly both our fists were intertwined.

I looked up at Rin who was smiling slightly.

We eventually reached the cafeteria, and Rin let go of my hand. It suddenly felt cold.

He jumped over the counter, and looked at the pans of food. Fried chicken, pizza, salad, soups, fruits, and more. It add a buffet we didn't have to pay for. I jumped over too, and picked up an apple.

"Really? Just an apple? Look at all this delicious food! And you go for an apple?" He swatted the apple out of my hand and shoved a piece of cake in my mouth. I coughed after swallowing.

"The heck?! I could've choked!" I said. "But it does taste good..." I mumbled, after a few moments.

Rin's laughter filled the dense air and his eyes looked back at me, who was now walking around, stacking food on a plate I took up from the side.

After a while of pigging out, I sigh satisfyingly, slumping against the chair Rin said on.

"Hey, come up here, will you?" Rin asked. I stood up, glancing around. There weren't anymore chairs around.

"Where? There aren't any chairs--"

I was cut off as Rin pulled me into his lap and secured around my waist with his arms.

"Wha- wha- Rin!" I managed to say. My face heated up as he snuggled into my back.

"Shh. Stop squirming. Nobody is around anyways." He mumbled softly.

I tried to conceal a blush as I dropped my head into my hands. I could feel him smirk into my back.

"You're very, very warm, you know," he said.

Was that a compliment?

His grip loosened from around me, and I craned my neck to look at him, while still sitting.

He smiled up at me, and I smiled back down at him, making sure that more than half of my blush had faded away.

He suddenly lounged forward and hugged me tightly, making both of us fall to the floor, me letting out a short scream.

He held me tightly around my waist, as he was lower down my body, and he squeezed me tightly.

I awkwardly patted his head softly.

"Promise me..." I heard him mumble.

"Huh? What?"

He looked up at me,and I saw that he was crying, as tears were flowing down his cheeks.

"Promise me...that you'll stay with me..."

What happened to his so suddenly? Why was he crying? I star wide eyed at the boy before me, who was always so strong and happy,

Right now, he just looked so...

Weak.

Like me, half the time. Slowly sitting up, I hugged him around his neck.

"There's no way I'd leave you," I said as I pulled away. I wiped his tears with the handkerchief from earlier, and dropped it on top his head.

We both laughed a little.

After a few minutes, he was sitting against the cold metal counter, and I was sitting against him, between his legs. We probably looked gays, currently, if anyone were to see us. But I didn't mind as he picked through my hair and laughed occasionally as we joked around and told each other stories.

It felt as though we were a couple.

But we weren't.

Rin provably has his eyes on some sexy chick who wears the shortest of skirts all the time and long, silky hair, and super rich with expensive shoes, and a neat tie.

Yeah, of course.

Leaning my head back against his chin, I sighed deeply. The thought of this girl in my class flashed through my mind momentarily. She had a really good voice, and she had nice, long, green hair. She was taller than me, and had an obsession with leeks. It was pretty cute.

But then again, there was this other girl in another class in my year. Her hair was long and pink, and people said she had a smile to die for. She was pretty popular, and I had no chance with her. She's was beautiful anyways, ad ill always think that.

I kept thinking about the two girls, as I felt my eyelids getting heavy. The last thing I thought about, though, was Rin, flashing me a bright smile, as I drifted off to sleep.
