A COUPLE MONTHS LATER
"ANDREAS!" Kardaria yelled into her brothers room, where he was sleeping. He sat up and looked at her with a look of annoyance. "Can't you see I'm sleeping?" He said, stifling a yawn. "Too bad. ITS SOMEONE'S BIRTHDAY!" She said excitingly. "It's Cassian's birthday today." Another voice said. It was Jyn. "I told Kardaria, and I guess you know now."
Andreas stood up. "Seriously? Let me get changed." He said before closing the door.
After a few minutes, he came out, wearing what he usually wore: a shirt and some cargo pants. "So, what are we planning on doing?" He asked the girls. "We should get him a present! And then, throw him a party!" Kardaria said, earning a nod from Jyn and her brother. "Ok, I can handle the party. But what about the present?" Jyn asked. "Let us handle that." Andreas said to Jyn. "Go distract Cassian. We won't take long."
"So, what are you planning for the present?" Kardaria asked her brother. "Well, remember the droid that Cassian told us about? Apparently, they were close. I was thinking of grabbing the memory chip and finding a new body for him." He told her. Kardaria nodded. "But isn't that in Scarif?" She asked. "I think, so we better hurry." He responded before the twins raced towards their U-wing.

The barren wasteland of Scarif greeted the twins as Kardaria landed the ship. "So, what are we looking for?" She asked.
"An imperial droid. Can't be too hard to find..." he said, before looking at the ruined citadel tower. "Let's go, we can't stay here for long." Kardaria mumbled before jogging to the broken tower, her brother not far behind.
A couple minutes later, they reached what looked like the place where they stored the archives. "We're close." He whispered, stepping over rubble. "There!" Kardaria said, pointing to a fallen droid. "Yup, that must be him." He said pulling the droid. "This will only take a minute." He muttered to her, a flashlight in his mouth.
Thump.
"Did you hear that?" Kardaria whispered to her brother. "Yeah, it sounded like it was outside." Andreas said, holding a palm-sized memory chip. "Ok, let's find a suitable droid." Kardaria said, motioning for him to follow her.
It wasn't hard to find a droid. They were everywhere. Kardaria choose one that didn't have many scratches, and they headed outside. Andreas pulled Kardaria behind a wall. "Look!" He said pointing at an imperial cargo ship. "How do we get past?" She said to him. Andreas shrugged. "I guess we have to run." He whispered. Kardaria gulped, and picked up the droid, and dragged it across the sand, to the awaiting U-wing. "Come on, come on!" She said, running as fast as she could with the heavy droid.
Finally they reached the ship. She placed him in, and shut the door. "We gotta go!" She said, firing up the engines. They soared over the falles citadel, storm troopers finally noticing the departing ship. Before they could shoot, they were already gone.
"Ok, so how are we supposed to fix that thing?" Asked Kardaria as they zoomed through hyperspace. "Well, it was coated in water, so I guess we have to replace wires and stuff." Andreas answered, hoping down from the co-pilots chair. He opened the droid, and began to do some repairs (of course after taking out the memory chip). "Ok, it should be done." He said, wiping his dirty hands on his pants. He inserted the memory chip, and stepped back as the droid came to life. It blinked around, before looking at the boy in front of him. "I am K-2SO. Where am I?" He (Andreas thinks it's a he) asked, looking at Andreas. "I'm Andreas, and that's my sister Kardaria . You're a surprise gift for Cassian. In fact, we are almost to Yavin 4 now." He said to K-2SO. "Did I die?" The droid asked, looking at his new body. "You did, but we managed to salvage some parts to rebuild you." Andreas said to him. "Thank you. How is Cassian?" He asked. "He's fine, Jyn's ok too. They miss you a lot." Kardaria said from her seat. "Also, we're almost here." She turned on the radio. "This is X-10 requesting to land, X-10 requesting to land." She said into the microphone. "X-10, permission for landing granted, over." A voice crackled over the radio. Kardaria landed the U-wing, and Andreas looked out of the hatch. "Ok, we're clear. Follow us K-2SO!" He whispered as he ran into the base, the others following him.
They reached Kardaria's room. "Pardon for the mess, but you'll have to chill here until we get you." She said, picking up a little. "Whatever you do, DON'T let anyone enter my room. You're supposed to be a surprise." She told the droid. "I'm gonna go check up on Cassian and Jyn. You two stay here." She said before rushing off.
She reached Cassian's room. The door was cracked open, and she peered inside. Like hers, it was cluttered with random papers and equipment. Cassian himself was asleep on the bed, and something- no someone- was snuggled into his side. She resisted the urge to squeal, and left the room, smiling the whole way back.
