A gentle thump woke Kardaria from her slumber. She sat up and stretched, and looked outside the window. "Andreas, where are we?" She asked confused. "Yavin-4. Cassian and Jyn apparently needed to come here." He said, turning his head, bags under his eyes from lack of sleep. "Oh." Kardaria muttered. "I'm gonna get off of the ship." She said, opening the door.
Five rebel soldiers greeted her as soon as she stepped off. "Who are you? Where do you come from? Is Captian Andor and Jyn Erso with you?" They questioned. "We have them, they're on the ship." She said before they barreled past her, racing toward them. Andreas stepped of the ship, confused as Kardaria. "Well, I'm guessing they must be of importance here." He guessed, looking at his twin. "Yeah, I guess so." She responded, watching them help Jyn and Cassian of the ship.
"Thank you for returning them." A voice responded behind the two, causing them to jump. They turned around to see a woman surrounded by others. "I am Mon Mothma. Welcome to Yavin-4." She greeted kindly as the others muttered a welcome. "Please, follow me." She said to them, and began to walk away, the twins hurrying after her. "Wow, you're a fast walker." Andreas said once they caught up. People hurried past them as Kardaria and Andreas gawked at all of the equipment. They turned down a dark hallway, and entered what looked like a control room. "Please, have a seat." She said, gesturing to two empty chairs.
"So, tell me exactly what happened on Scarif. She said, looking at the twins with an unnerving stare. "Um, well, me and Andreas-"
"Andreas and I" he muttered under his breath, "we were planning on going to Scarif to get fuel, and we didn't know that it was an imperial base or that there was a battle going on. So we decided to head out, but we saw Cassian and Jyn, so we decided to help them." Kardaria answered. "Well, that was a lovely story, but we know that you two are very good at stealing things." Mon Mothma replied smoothly. "You weren't there for 'fuel', were you." She said to them accusingly.
Kardaria and Andreas looked at each other. Andreas looked at Kardaria panicked, and Kardaria shrugged, glancing at the woman across from them. They shared a look, and finally answered, "Yes. But we couldn't get anything, without being shot to death." Andreas said, arching an eyebrow. Mon Mothma smiled. "I see. And what would your parents think of this?" She questioned to the pair.
Kardaria and Andreas winced. They haven't thought of their parents ever since they were both shot to death. "Well, our parents are pretty dead, so they wouldn't really care too much." Kardaria answered, a look of surprise crossing Mon Mothma's face. "Oh. I'm sorry for your loss." She said quietly.
The twins shrugged. "How about you stay here?" The lady offered. "You can be safer, and you might be able join the rebellion, if of course, you promise not to steal anything from us." She said, her eyes twinkling. The twins looked at her in astonishment. They whispered queitly amongst themselves. "Yes. We would love to stay." They said happily. Mon Mothma smiled. "Welcome to the Rebellion Kardaria and Andreas."
