The next morning I woke up way too early. At 6am I heard a noise outside what made me sit up straight in bed. From then I just couldn't keep my eyes closed, so I got out of bed after half an hour.
Madison on the other hand, slept almost till noon. It was quite boring sitting alone all morning, but luckily we had a television.
Madison and I live together in an apartment we bought a year ago. We both wanted to live on our own, so we decided to do it together. Till now everything goes fine, the bills are not too high and we both work for the money. Apart from that we had our family to help us out if we couldn't miss the money.
The apartment is the perfect size. A nice kitchen, three bedrooms, one bathroom and of course a living room. We could easily have someone over and we have enough room for ourselves.
A couple of minutes later, Madison walked into the kitchen, or better stumbled. She was beyond tired I could see, plus the headache she was probably experiencing was not helping. I chuckled and got up from my seat, getting her some aspirin and water.
"Thanks," she mumbled as I put it in front of her. I smiled and sat back in my seat again.
"So, what did you think of last night?" Madison asked after she took the pill in.
I shrugged, "It wasn't my thing, like I thought"
She nodded and ran her finger on the glass with water. "And what did you think of James?"
"I thought he was a great guy. He was sweet to you and actually acknowledged me, unlikely to your other boyfriends." I explained as a nervous laugh left my lips, thinking about the other guys she was with.
"Yeah... you're right about that. I never really paid attention how my boyfriends threated you, but I guess with James it's a different story." She sighed.
"To be honest, I never would ever think you would pick out a guy like that," I giggled in what she joined me. Madison always went for the "bad guys" and not the sweet and compassioned ones.
"No, me neither" she rubbed her temple and jawned straight after. She looked like a hot mess.
"Has he texted you yet?" I asked her. She shrugged and grabbed her phone from the table, probably checking it for the first time today.
She started to read the text out loud, "Goodnight princess, hope I'll see you soon, kiss emoij"
"Aww how sweet" I giggled as I looked at her now glowing face. She must really like him. However her smile faded as she started to frown at her phone, looking up at me with a funny look on her face.
"Remember Jonathan?" She asked. I nodded shortly, not knowing why she brought him up. Jonathan was a old boyfriend of Madison, although I don't know if they ever really had something together. At least I knew that they were friends with benefits.
"Well, he texted me that some guy named Brandon wants to contact you," Her eyebrows raised while she explained me the text.
My eyes immediately widenen as I thought about the mysterious boy last night. He really wanted to contact me?
"So who's Brandon, huh?" She smugly asked as she placed her head in her hands, elbows leaning on the table. "Have you been naughty?"
I shook my head fiercly "No, really no. I just went outside to get some fresh air, and this boy came up to me and started talking. I just wasn't interested in socializing with him so I went back." I explained as my thoughts went back to Brandon.
"Aha... It wouldn't be that tatted, long boy?" She asked while rubbing her chin for a second.
"Actually, yeah. How did you know?" I replied as I studied her face. Maybe she already knew him, he did say some of his friends knew her.
"Because that boy couldn't take his eyes of you all the party long. I thought you didn't notice, but eventually you did, I assume" she shrugged. Was it that obvious? Now it actually scares me, it wasn't something normal, right?
"Yeah, I did. It was kinda creepy though," I said as I stared at the table. "However, don't send him my number or whatsoever. I don't want him in my life"
"I already did," Madison said, holding in a small laugh. My eyes widenend as I stared at her in disbelief.
"Why did you do that, Mads!" I raised my voice, I clearly wasn't happy with this. I really didn't want to do anything with him.
"Because you need some boy in your life! When was the last time you actually had a boyfriend? Have you ever even had one? You never brought someone here to meet me" She said casually as if nothing was wrong with sending him my number. I sighed frustratingly and threw my head in my hands.
"C'mon, don't he mad at me. You will thank me later, I promise" she said as I felt her hand on my shoulder, pushing me playfully. I knew she meant it good, but she just has to understand I'm not like her.
"I'm not mad" I mumbled as I raised my head from my hand.
"Good," Madison smiled "But you have to let me know when he hits you up, I want to know how he's trying to get in your pants"
"Nobody is getting in my pants," I said confidently. Especially not him.
"We'll see," she smirked. "But I'm going to jump in bed again, my head is killing me and I need some sleep"
I nodded and watched her stand up and walk to her room. Once again I was surrounded by silence, having to spend the whole afternoon alone. I do have to work tonight though and I was really not in the mood for it.
I grabbed a blanket and some popcorn and fell down on the couch. I decided to watch netflix to kill the time before dinner. Apart from that I was very tired and also not in the mood do go outside.
After half an hour of Luke Cage, I felt my phone vibrate and I almost immediately knew who it was. I pressed pause and grabbed my phone, number unknown.
Hey babe, it's Brandon.
I sighed and put my phone away, ignoring his text. Though, before I could press play again my phone vibrated again.
I wanna see you.
I must say, I was a bit flattered that he thought of me without being at the party. Unfortunately I knew he was no good for me and he wasn't my type at all. I guess if I just keep on ignoring him he will stop eventually.
I snuggled more under my blanket and played the episode, watching it the whole afternoon long.
